WCOOP 2021 has already paid out over $78 million during the series, including $12 million to first place finishers. As the final weekend approaches, excitement builds and players ready up for the business end of the schedule.
Who will top the leaderboards? Who will take down the Main Events? Could it be you?
Most of the spotlight will be on the three NLHE Main Events and three PLO Main Events, which between them will pay out $16 million.
Let’s delve deeper into the final weekend of WCOOP:
Sunday (Sept. 12) is Main Event time, with $14 million across the three tiers of no-limit hold ‘em. Generous blind structures make these tourneys four-day epics, though if you do reach Day 4 you’ll be sitting on the final table with a stack of chips that you’ll soon be converting into life-changing sums.
Here’s the three tourneys that make up the WCOOP 2021 NLHE Main Events:
That’s a significant chunk on offer at all tiers, but the keen-eyed reader will notice that the $5k event has an almost inconceivable $10 million in the pot. Lower stakes players who want to take part in the event can take advantage of satellites, which are running from as little as $2.
WCOOP gives pot-limit Omaha players an opportunity to take part in the biggest PLO events on the calender, and play for prize pools that you would only usually expect to find in the world of Texas Hold’em – with combined guarantees of over $2 million across three tiers.
Here’s a look at each tier of tourney:
You’ll be in it for the long haul again, with each PLO Main Event lasting for three days and Day 3 reserved for final table action. Satellites are available for these too.
This weekend there are four PKO events to pencil into your poker schedule. Always a popular option, these tourneys bring combined guarantees of over $5 million. Check ‘em out:
Saturday (Sept 11):
Aside from the Main Events, PKO tourneys are plentiful on the final weekend of WCOOP 2021
Sunday (Sept 12):
