If you’re ever in Trnava, Slovakia and feeling a bit peckish, we suggest you stop in at a little restaurant owned by Emil Nosko.

“I like a good meal and a good beer,” he said.

While you’re there, ask Nosko about the daily special, the local cuisine, and that gold bracelet he’s wearing on his wrist.

Like almost anybody else, Nosko likes money, but the 31-year-old knows that when it comes to things like poker, there’s something that can matter more.

“The winner is who people remember,” Nosko said, “and he has a bracelet.”

This is something Nosko–known as ternoplayer on PokerStars–has come to know very well in the last few days. After all, he’s fresh off winning WCOOP Event #9, the $215 No-Limit Hold’em contest held this past weekend.

“I have to tell you, making a final table tourney as big as this was my dream,” he said.

The 31-year old only started playing poker four years ago and joined the ranks of PokerStars a year later. What he’s learned, he’s taught himself or read in books. He likes to get out to Bratislava or Wien to play live poker, but it doesn’t happen as much as he’d like.

The $300,000 he banked is bar far his biggest ever win. It’s money he plans to spread around. He’s going to give some to his family, put some in his bankroll, and buy his girlfriend a car.

Oh, and that girlfriend of his…well, he’s going to marry her soon, too, so expect to see Nosko at the tables working on winning some more cash. He’s going to need it.
