Normally on the Weekly Dose, we go all cross-platform from You Tube, to ESPN, to the venerable PokerStars.tv in our attempts to find the best in poker video on the internet. This week, as the World Championship of Online Poker kicks off in record-breaking fashion and the EPT event in Barcelona runs toward the final table, we’re finding more than we can possibly watch on PokerStars.tv alone.

Our first selection on the Weekly Dose is a look back at the first ten WCOOP.com events. There have been some massive wins already and millions of dollars in prize money awarded.

You can see who’s winning the most in the video below.

Meanwhile, EPT Barcelona is about at its end, and the video blog team caught up with Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mercier, he’s the man who won EPT San Remo a couple of seasons ago and went on to win just about everything you could possibly imagine since.

Check out the enlightening interview with him below.

Mercier also plays a part in the video below.

Now, we’ll be honest here, what you’re about to watch is pretty remedial stuff mean for people who are just starting to play. That said, Mercier probably gives the best performance overall and there is probably some comedic value in watching members of Team PokerStars Pro tell you the rankings of hands.

Also, this probably reopens the debate about whether a royal flush should actually be considered a hand ranking rather than a hand name, when, as everyone knows, a royal flush is only the best possible straight flush, and thus not really an independent hand ranking.

But, I digress.

Check out the video below to see who gets the privilege of showing you what a royal flush looks like.
