FPS Season 3 ends on a high note!
Season 3 of the France Poker Series (FPS) came to a dramatic climax after five thrilling events. The tour once again visited some of France’s most exciting poker destinations, from the snowy mountains of Evian to the sunshine of Cannes. The Final event, held right before the European Poker Tour (EPT) stop in Deauville, saw over 1,000 players create a prize pool of over €1,000,000 - both record numbers for the France Poker Series! Niels van Leeuwen claimed the title and €175,000 in first place prize money.
FPS 3 kicked off in fine style in the mountains, as Evian welcomed a quality field of 280 players to an exclusive SnowFest event. The big winner was UK player Neil Raine who took home the trophy and a first place cash prize of €60,000. In Amneville for the second stop on the tour, Ibrahim El Feliani outlasted a field of 417 to scoop close to €100,000 for his first place finish, before the action moved on to Cannes-Mandelieu where PokerStars qualifier Giedrus Gradeckas took home €120,000 as the last man standing.
Returning to the capital for the fourth stop on the tour, Rodolphe Dethiere took the lion’s share of a prize pool just shy of €900,000 for his victory at FPS Paris, but that number would be overshadowed by the €1,051,200 prize money at the FPS Final. Dutchman van Leeuwen defeated an all-French final table to take the title and bring the curtain down on another fantastic FPS season!
