Hit & Run rules
When a player joins a cash game table with the minimum buy-in, then leaves after winning a pot, this is known as a Hit & Run.
Such tactics are disliked by most players and are considered poor poker etiquette. However, it is not against the rules to leave the table after winning a pot. Being able to leave a cash game table at any time is, in fact, a defining aspect of such tables.
In a cash game, if a short-stacked player wins a pot and then leaves the table, they must buy-in for the amount they left the table with (or with up to 10% less if that is all that they have remaining in their account balance) if they wish to return to the table within 120 minutes.
This policy is meant to give players a fair chance of winning their money back and applies only to Pot Limit or No Limit games.
We also have an option for players who would like to play deeper stacked games. These tables have a higher minimum buy-in and are labeled Deep, Ante in the main lobby. Short stackers tend to avoid these tables.
