The 50/50 Series concluded on Monday night, capping a frantic week-and-a-bit of tournament action. There were 50 events with a $50 buy-in for each of them, and prize pools came close to $9.5 million across the series. That’s pretty incredible when you consider how little it cost to play.

The Main Event attracted 24,773 entries (including 8,994 re-entries) and that made it the biggest in terms of entries and prize pool. Its $1,125,933 prize pool eclipsed its very generous $1 million guarantee.

Its winner, “JoshSmallAA“, from Canada, took $69,617, including $21,309 in bounties, which was the second biggest winner’s prize paid out across the series. The biggest came in the other million-dollar guaranteed event, the Half Price Sunday Million, where “Fr0mNL”, based in Malta, picked up $81,560.

That was one of a number of standout successes for Malta-based players. There were five champions from the tiny Mediterranean island, tied equal with Germany and Ukraine as the most from the series. The usual titans from Brazil and Russia claimed four victories apiece. In all, winners came from 24 countries.
