Home / PSPC / Another Platinum Pass up for grabs as Road to PSPC heads to Hamburg

German speaking players are already busy hoovering up Platinum Passes for this summer’s PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) — and now we’re taking another sliver of precious metal right into the lions’ den.

PokerStars Live today announced that Hamburg will be the latest city to host a “Road To PSPC” tour event, offering players of all abilities the chance to compete for another Platinum Pass.

Casino Schenefeld will host the €200 buy-in tournament between March 10-15, with the winner guaranteed a Platinum Pass to the PSPC, worth more than €26,000, in addition to the first-place money.

The event will be streamed live from Day 2 onwards, with expert commentary from PokerStars Ambassador Felix Schneiders, among others. Actually, Scheiders is not guaranteed to be on commentary duty: he is also playing the event, but will slip into the commentary booth if he is knocked out.

Felix Schneiders, right, has been giving out Platinum Passes around Europe. He’ll hand over another in Hamburg

Players can gain entry to the tournament for nothing thanks to a series of freebuy satellites on PokerStars, which will award tickets to bigger qualifying tournaments. Online satellites will run on PokerStars from February 9 to March 8 and will award tournament packages that include the Main Event entry and expenses.

Once in Hamburg, players will be able to take advantage of free food and drinks at a welcome party on Friday, March 13 and win free PokerStars goodies via a Spin the Wheel game. Casino Schenefeld has a long association with PokerStars tournaments, most notably as the host of two Eureka Poker Tour events in 2015-16, won by Tom Holke and Dinesh Alt.

Platinum Pass packages are worth more than €26,000 and include a buy-in to the €22,500 PSPC for the pass holder, six nights’ accommodation in a luxury hotel, flights, transfers and expenses for the pass holder and guest. The PSPC takes place in Barcelona from August 20-24, 2020.
