Searching for another double: The Austria-based “CPUrul0r” enjoyed a dream of a Tuesday night, winning the $1,050 buy-in PKO Freezeout (Event #32-H) while also finishing top of the overnight counts in the Super Tuesday Special Edition (Event #33-H). The former title brought with it $44,834, including $28,687 in bounty payments, while there’s $45,113 up top for the winner of the latter. That is far from a done deal, of course, with 41 players still involved from the original 509-entry field. They include the likes of Simon “simon1471” Higgins, who is in second place, and Teun “tinnoemulder” Mulder, who is currently fifth. There’s a lot of play left when it resumes today at 1.05pm ET, but CPUrul0r is very well placed to go back-to-back and become only the second double champion in the Blowout Series.

Five cards favours Sintoras: Five-card PLO 6-Max appeared on the Blowout Series schedule on Tuesday and that meant small but very, very tough fields, particularly in the $1,050 buy-in version (Event #34-H). After Rui “RuiNF” went out on the bubble, there was a dense concentration of European superstars left in contention, with the Nordics particularly well represented. However, Germany’s “Sintoras” ended up beating them all, earning the $28,551 first prize by defeating “Achilles591” heads up. Sintoras has victories in both SCOOP and WCOOP, the latter only last year, and can now add Blowout Series to that haul. There was another final table in this one for “WhatIfGod”, but he could finish only fifth. His countryman “clidberg” claimed the low buy-in version for Sweden, worth $4,932 after a deal, while “Ig123456789” won the medium. Ig123456789 took $8,242 after a four-way deal, which was actually the smallest amount of the players involved in the negotiations. Finland’s “fcmellon” took the most, banking $11,671, even though he or she only officially finished second.

COUNTRIES LEADER BOARD
Seventeen tournaments finished on Sunday night, with Brazilians winning four of them. That stretched the South Americans’ lead at the top of the leader board, with the Netherlands still running them closest. The Brits and Russians, who usually go shoulder to shoulder at the top of these leader boards, are nowhere to be seen. There were two titles for the Dutch, two for Canada and two for Austria, as Japan and Kazakhstan won their first.
