The last bounties have been claimed in the 2019 Bounty Builder Series, with all 180 events having now completed. The Main Event provided an appropriately exciting finale, where China’s vesaaaa_1 collected the final knockout to win the title and over $319K.

A field of 5,573 entries (3,885 uniques, 1,688 re-entries) in the $530 buy-in Main Event meant a prize pool of $2,786,500, besting the tournament’s $2M guarantee. While half the prize pool went for bounties, the other half was divided among the top 783 finishers.

Day 1 on Sunday saw the money bubble burst after which the field was trimmed down to 396 players with Brazil’s “sodesuka” enjoying the overnight chip lead.

It would then take about 10 hours on Monday to play down to a winner, with sodesuka falling in 68th along the way and Canada’s Sebastian “p0cket00” Sikorski — who already had two Bounty Builder titles this series — coming just shy of the eight-handed final table when he was knocked out in ninth.

The final eight included a number of top players, among them multiple Sunday Million winner Rob “robtinnion” Tinnion of the UK who ultimately fell in fourth.

Finally vesaaaa_1 of China outlasted “ImBluemagic” of Mexico to take the top prize of $198,082.09, which when added to the $121,790.03 in bounties vesaaaa_1 collected (more than four times what anyone else got for KOs) meant a total payday of $319,872.12.

Here’s how the final table payouts looked:

SATELLITE STORIES

We have a few final (and fun) satellite stories to share regarding the Main Event.

A couple of players who won seats into the $530 event for just $2 realized some serious return on their investments. “AlexGans68” was one who went on to finish 288th yesterday to earn $3,699.77 total ($2,750 of which came from bounties). That’s better than 1,849 times the investment!

Meanwhile “xxSaara” also won entry for $2 and got even further, taking 159th for a cash of $4,869.55 total (including $3,703.13 in bounties). That’s better than 2,434x the buy-in!

There was a satellite winner at the final table as well, as “Aina_0818” won a seat via a $55 satellite, then turned that into a six-figure score by finishing third for $110,474.67 total ($12,926 in bounties, $97,548.67 for the finish) — in other words, “only” a little over 2,008 times the price of admission.
