That may yet take some time, with the average stack now 80 big blinds deep. But it still leaves a lingering question. How long will things take tomorrow?
It’s not just the floor people and TV crew who worry about such thing – the undignified “breakfast before sleep” scramble has been deployed more times than most here care to remember. But more importantly the players get hit by it too – the know that an early finish today could mean a long day (and night) tomorrow.
Tom Hall (since eliminated) was first to mention it, when players were told they would play down to six, or to the end of level 28 (or four and a half levels). He turned to Christopher Frank (since eliminated):
“Tomorrow could be super long,” he said.
“First world problems,” replied Frank, grinning. Everything Frank says is followed by a grin. But this time he was spot on.
Regardless of how things end tonight, and indeed tomorrow, you can follow all the action on EPT Live through to the end. Breakfast included.
