Dutchman Pim de Goede beats the EPT champs to the cheese in the €2k turbo

The final tournaments of any EPT stop are always well favoured; they’re fast, juicy and a great way to get out of it at the end of a week of the pokers. This is not our opinion, but that of Steve O’Dwyer, who told us so at the end of EPT Barcelona (he ended up finishing 3rd for €39,090).

O’Dwyer was at it again in Prague and managed to claw back some of his buy-ins with a sixth-place finish for €6,700. Two former EPT champs managed to do every better than that; Anton Wigg finished third for €17,400 while EPT London winner David Vamplew chopped to win €33,500. Coming out on top was Dutchman Pim de Goede, whose previous largest result was a €200,000 victory in a €5,000 side event at the EPT Grand Final (where he beat the ever-present Finn Juha Helppi).
