10.38pm: End of the level
That’s the end of level 16, updates for the last two levels of the night will appear in a new post soon. — NW

10.30pm: Last woman sitting
Veronika Kokoceva is the last woman in the event as Lieke van Wordragen has just been eliminated. We don’t like to blow our own trumper here on the blog, but PokerStars snapper Tomas Stacha picked her out as one to watch from the very start. She currently has a stack of 85,000. — NW

10.20pm: Oldrich Siml eliminated
He was down to around 80,000 and got his last 20 big blinds in pre-flop holding pocket jacks and was called by Zsolt Vasvenszki who had KQ. It looked like Siml would double up until a king appeared on the river, Vasvenszki has about 400,000 and is the chip leader. — NW

10.15pm: Petar Zografov doubles up
Down to just 52,000 he moved all-in with K9 and was called by Chuc Viorel Ion Burlan who had A8, the board was topsy turvy coming as it did 9A494, after that loss Burlan is down to 100,000. — NW

10pm: Johnson wins pot with seven high
The sole remaining British player, Keith Johnson just took down a pot with seven high, he told me: “I had [7][6] no clubs, the flop was [A][10][2] and I’ve bet and been called. The turn was a king and we’ve both checked, I’ve given up at this point. The river was an off-suit eight and we both checked. I almost mucked but remembered a story about a player mucking six high and five high winning the hand, so I showed my hand hoping he had something like 64 and he mucked!” That pot was about 45,000 and he’s currently on about 280,000. — NW

9.45pm: Torok keeps on trucking
From being all-in and at risk a couple of levels ago David Torok is now motoring along and has 325,000 and seems to be winning every pot he’s in. He raised to 8,600 on the button and Marius Pospiech defended from the big blind. It checked all the way to the river on a AQ2KQ board before Torok bet 15,500 on the river, a bet Pospiech reluctantly called, Torok showed Q8, Pospiech showed just the K. — NW

9.35pm: Back from the break
The players are back in their seats, this is the seventh of the nine levels planned for today. However, if it looks like we’re very close to reaching the final table there’s the possibility that play will be extended a further level to facilitate that. — NW

LEVEL UP: BLINDS 2,000-4,000 ante 400

9.15pm: End of the level
That’s the end of level 15 and players are on a 20 minute break. — NW

9.10pm: Aces don’t always win
I joined table four to see a three way all-in in progress, it all went in pre-flop, this was the situation:

Ján Petráš: KQ – all-in for 42,000
Sebastian Lucuta: AA – all-in for 98,000
Chuc Viorel Ion Burlan: 1010 – covered both players

The flop was 3J2 and Petras had flopped a big draw but the aces were still ahead. The turn was the 10 which was the worst card in the deck for Lucuta as it took him from first to worst. The river was the 7, so Petras took the main pot of 126,000, Burlan claimed the side pot of 112,000 and Lucuta was eliminated. — NW

9.05pm: Chip counts
I’ve just updated the chip counts page, the respective chip leaders from Day 1A and Day 1B are still alive, Jaroslav Urban has 290,000 and Marius Tripsa has 120,000. — NW

8.50pm: No post bubble carnage
Amazingly 36 players still remain, usually the bursting of the bubble creates a stampede to the cash desk as those who clung on take a stand, not here though. — NW

8.45pm: The reign in Spain
A new chip leader has emerged and he’s representing for Spain as he’s the only player from that country playing in this event. His name is Antonio Dieguez Rodriguez and he’s up to 410,000. — NW

8.35pm: The bubble has burst
And it only took one hand to do it. From middle position Calin Furdui made it 7,000 and then Marco Adams moved all-in for 58,100, it folded back to Furdui who made the call:

Furdui: 1010
Adams: AQ

With an expectant crowd looking on the board ran out 83876, the remaining players are guaranteed €1,280. — NW

8.30pm: On the bubble
The clock has been paused, 37 players remain, we’re on the bubble. Play is hand for hand. — NW

8.17pm: Forty players left
There are 40 players left, spread over five tables. One player lucky to still be in is Oldrich Siml he doubled up to 90,000 holding pocket fours against Michal Kadziela who had AJ the board of KJK94 gave him an almighty fright though. — NW
