Five things to enrage and delight you ahead of the weekend on PokerStars.
Panama makeover
The big news this week centred on the next PokerStars Championship on the calendar, taking place in Panama next month. Things will look a bit different to the last event in the Bahamas, with emphasis on making changes that players want.
At the PokerStars Championship in Panama the schedule has been trimmed slightly, while at the same time registration time for has been extended. Then there are the guarantees, plenty of them, which you can read about here.

New events, new destinations
Alongside the Panama news there was more detail on the upcoming PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival venues, with new destinations getting a first taste of these events.
They include South Korea, Marbella, Manila, Chile, and Uruguay, although not necessarily in that order.
Not only does that mean we begin a series of arm wrestling contests in the officer to determine which of us goes where, it also means you can experience a few new towns and cities around the world by winning a package to any or all of these stops on PokerStars.

Yesterday we unveiled the latest video from the vast PokerStars TV archive, this time profiling our Top 5 most controversial hands.
As we wrote, the videos feature a mixture of etiquette breeches, rule violations, and out-right Human rights abuses, all of which will make you either seethe or more likely laugh. Along the way you get a glimpse of the best of players, and arguably the worst, serving as a useful reminder that there is very little justice in the world.

For the love in the game
Valentine’s Day might not apply to you, it might apply while you wish it didn’t, or it might not while you wish it did. Nevertheless our post about the big day provides some proof at least, that it can be done; although admittedly it offers little as to how.
Whether you’re jaded about Vaentine’s, or loved up, the post is worth a look for the picture of Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov (beautifully deadpanned by Kurganov) that, whether intended or not, captures something of the male-female dynamic in the prehistoric and post-prehistoric age. Bravo to them both.
