We’re about to experience something on PokerStars we’ve never seen. For the first time in PokerStars’ history, we will see 100 consecutive championship events dedicated to the loyal players who don’t have thousands of dollars in buy-ins at their disposal. We will see lives changed, bankrolls built, and new champions emerge from gigantic pool of players.

At noon ET Thursday, the first PokerStars MicroMillions tournament will kick off. With 24 hours to go until the first flop, more than 42,000 people have already signed up for Event #1.

MicroMillions event #1 filling up

There is much to know about the very first MicroMillions series. Here’s a quick rundown of the important stuff:

There are 100 MicroMillions events. They will run around the clock. No matter where you live in the world, you’ll be able to find a big guaranteed tournament to suit your bankroll. You can find a full MicroMillions schedule in our introductory blog post on the series.

The tournament series is about more than tiny buy-ins. It’s about big money. The guarantees for the MicroMillions event go as high as $1 million. The main event winner will pocket at least $150,000.

It’s about added value. The MicroMillions has a player of the Series race that will give out tons of prizes. The winner of the leaderboard will get a 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize package. For a full rundown of all the extra value you can pick up in the MicroMillions, including a deposit bonus ending in 12 hours, see our Beyond the Buy-ins post.

Finally, we here at the PokerStars Blog have commissioned a small army of writers to cover every single one of the 100 MicroMillions events. If you make a final table of a MicroMillions event, you could well see your name on the PokerStars Blog very soon just like WCOOP, SCOOP, and TCOOP winners.

To keep an eye on all of our MicroMillions coverage over the next two weeks, bookmark the PokerStars MicroMillions updates and coverage page.

Now, go get some rest. We have a new tournament series to kick off in 24 hours.
