In just about a week, there will be hundreds of us converging on Paradise Island for the tenth annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. There will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 amateur photos taken by PCA attendees alone. Most of them…well, let’s be honest. Most of them will be blurry, overexposed, or composed like Bahama Mama-infused eyes might actually see the subject of the photo. One of the pictures, however, will be worth a $1,000 seat to a PCA side event.

If you’re headed that way, make sure you bring your smartphone and have it loaded up with the Instagram app. When you get to the PCA, be on the lookout for photos that best illustrate the PCA vibe.

Now, you were probably going to do that anyway, but now you have all the more reason to do it, because Team PokerStars Pro will be watching your account.

Every day between January 7 and January 11, Team PokerStars Pro will pick the best PCA 10 Photo Pimp Off picture from Instagram. After the five days of competition, Team Pro will pick the overall winner, and that person gets a seat in the $1,000 tourney.

A fairly terrible Instagram photo of the Paradise Island bridge–do better than this

Because there will be hundreds of people shooting pictures everywhere, you are going to have to be sure to make sure Team Pro takes notice of you. To do that, add hashtags for #PCA10 and #PhotoPimpOff hashtags. Also, make sure you mention @PokerStars when you post your photo. Once you do all that, Team Pro will start the judging, and we will post the daily winners on the PokerStars Blog.
