Home / News / Phil Hellmuth, Aaron Sorkin and Joshua Malina special guests on incredible 200th Anniversary show

This line-up speaks for itself. You’ve got a controversial yet highly successful poker pro, a multi-talented film wizard, and a popular TV actor, all coming together for this very special 200th episode of Poker In The Ears.

First, the boys are joined by Spraggy and Jennifer Shadade to chat poker and pop culture and to review the Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. As a chess Grandmaster herself, it’s a world that Shadade is well qualified to talk about, so this should be the finest commentary on the film you’ll ever hear.

Drum roll please… next, Phil Hellmuth joins the show, delirious from a full night of playing Omaha. The original poker brat contemplates what the other high stakes pros think of him, and defends some of his notorious meltdowns and rants. Whatever the case, this guy has won 15 WSOP bracelets. He must be pretty good at poker, right?

Admittedly, Hellmuth is a hard act to follow, so the boys had to step it up a notch and introduce Oscar winner director and producer Aaron Sorkin. He’s here to talk West Wing, The Trial of the Chicago Seven, and whether Molly’s Game is actually a poker movie.

Even this week’s Superfan is a special guest star. Joe takes on his poker rival, West Wing actor Joshua Malina, with Maria Ho hosting one of the least skill-based Hold ‘em games of all time.

As you can see, the 200th Anniversary episode of Poker In The Ears is not to be missed. Tune in for the big premier at 18:00 GMT tonight here on our YouTube Central or YouTube UK channel, as well as on PokerStars Twitch. The full show will then be available as a VOD.
