We’ve launched a new-look blog that makes it easier and more enjoyable for you to keep up to date with all the news and views from your favorite poker room. You’ll find all our latest posts on the homepage as usual, but we’ve now split the blog into three more sections so you can find what interests you quicker – or just have fun browsing around.
In the Tournaments section – accessed from the main menu – you’ll see all our reports from the tournament floor, whether it’s a live event like the EPT or LAPT, one of our online majors like the Sunday Million, or an entire series like WCOOP or the forthcoming SCOOP. Click on one of the tournament logos (click more +/less – button to see the full list) and you’ll see the latest posts associated with that event. If the event is being covered live, then you’ll see the latest chip count link right here, too.
If you’d rather see all the tournament posts at once, not just one category, click >>All Tournaments in the latest post box or at the bottom of the list of posts.
When you open up a post you can easily navigate elsewhere. At the end of the post you’ll see a list of related entries to read, or you can browse through the << Previous | Main | Next >> links at the top of the post. Remember, doing the previous/next thing will take you chronologically through ALL posts, not just the category you are in.
Although we report on a lot of tournaments, we also have plenty of news to bring you as well. In the News section – accessed from the main menu – you’ll find everything else that we publish. That’s news about promotions, Team PokerStars Pro, our players, strategy articles, interviews etc. Again you’ll see a whole bunch of stories to chose from – and if you want to see more, click on the >> All News link at the bottom of the page.
By now you’re also likely to have noticed the Media Gallery section. Here you’ll find all the latest videos and photographs that we’ve posted on the blog. In the Latest Photos section, click on one of the image to see it enlarged, with a caption if it has one. Clicking on the larger picture will take you to the next one and so on.
If you want to overdose on videos and photos, click on the >> All media posts links in the Latest Video or Latest Photo boxes and surf to your heart’s content!
Back on the homepage you’ll see the latest video that was posted on the site, plus a selection of the latest photos. Click on these photos to go straight to the post they appear in.
Also on the homepage is an Events widget (on the right, under the download button). If we’re currently covering a live event the name of it will flash here. If the ‘Live Event’ tab is empty be sure to click the ‘Upcoming Events’ tab next to it to see what we’ve got coming up.
If you’re searching for something in particular, use the search box on the menu bar or click relevant bits of the tag cloud. The search box looks for the actual text you ask for, so beware that typing EPT would bring each EPT post up as well as any post with a word like except in it! If you want to delve back through the years, click on the archives feature on the right-hand side of the page.
Finally, there’s no need to miss any of this. The blog is RSS friendly – so get the feed by clicking any of the links throughout the site.
