Home / Uncategorized / PokerStars Championship Barcelona: Team Pros halved as prizes announced in €10K HR

It’s the second break of the €10,300 High Roller, and the one thing all the players were waiting for has now been revealed. I’m talking about the money of course.

The winner of this event will bank a massive €1,036,800 for their efforts. That’s €184,600 (equivalent to 18 entries; i.e. the total field for some high rollers) more than Connor Drinan collected when he won this same event last year (€849,200). A total of 79 will make the money, with a min-cash worth €18,400 (check out the full payout structure here).

Everyone who reaches the top eight will secure a six-figure score, and right now there are 192 players remaining all hoping to make it that far. Here’s a look at the top nine payouts:

Place Prize (EUR)
1 €1,036,800
2 €650,500
3 €465,700
4 €363,100
5 €284,700
6 €223,700
7 €166,960
8 €115,600
9 €91,300

Unfortunately, Team Pros Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier and Felipe Ramos have been eliminated. But there’s still hope for the red spade in Jake Cody and Jeff Gross. With blinds coming back at 1,500/3,000, Cody has around 375,000 while Gross has around 110,000.

Others who have been eliminated include Akin Tuna, Stefan Jedlicka, Luc Greenwood, Martin Kozlov, Sergio Aido, Adam Owen, Dominik Panka, Kenny Hallaert, Vojtech Ruzicka, Vicente Delgado, Nick Petrangelo, Sergi Reixach, Elliot Smith, Mustapha Kanit, Bartlomiej Machon, David Peters, Anthony Zinno, and Salman Behbehani.

The chip leaders right now are Timur Margolin (440,000), Markus Durnegger (430,000), and Ihar Soika (430,000). Meanwhile, Ari Engel just got very lucky to rocket up to the top five chip counts.

Engel five-bet jammed with the KJ against a player with 135,000, and he called with the AK. The board ran out 455JJ to give Engel a full house and the KO. Engel has 380,000 now.
