They are two of the most popular and successful formats in gaming, and now they are together.

Today PokerStars launches the all-new PokerStars Tetris®+ Spin & Go, which combines PokerStars’ popular Spin & Go poker tournaments with elements of the iconic block rotation video game.

There’s $1.5 million in prizes on offer, including daily prize pools of $33,000. The top 500 ranked players at every Spin & Go buy-in level will also be entered into a daily prize draw with the chance of winning a cut of an additional $5,000.

The promotion is live now and runs through March 28.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

The action begins when you opt in to join the special Tetris®+ Spin & Go Leader Boards, available at all regular Spin & Go buy-in levels, ie., from $0.25 to $500.

The gameplay during the Spin & Go is unchanged, but you now have an aim beyond simply taking down the tournament. You also aim to clear lines, as is the goal in Tetris®, which moves you up in levels. Your number of Line Clears depends on your Spin & Go multiplier and your finishing position in the tournament.

Every time you achieve five Line Clears your level will increase. The higher your level, the more points you’ll get for clearing lines, and the higher still you can climb.

At the end of each day, the person with the highest score based on Line Clears and levels tops the leader board and receives a cash prize. All players in the top 500 on all leader boards go into an additional prize draw, with another $5,000 given away every day.

But beware: if you’re not clearing lines, the blocks will be cluttering up your playfield — or Matrix, to use the correct term — moving you closer to Game Over.

You can check where you stand whenever you like, and will be given green, amber or red status. Stray too far into the red and it’s Game Over. But clear the lines, climb through the levels, and it’s Game On!
