As loyal readers of PokerStars Blog well know, the World Championship of Online Poker is in full swing. Meanwhile PokerStars today announces COOP series will also soon be taking place at each of its US sites.

PokerStars Pennsylvania, PokerStars Michigan, and PokerStars New Jersey will each run COOPs of their own Sept. 10-27. The guaranteed prize pools add up to $4.5 million across the three series, each of which will culminate with big Main Events Sept. 26-27.

And this time there are trophies, too!

Attention Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey players! Time to COOP it up!

Note that PokerStars US sites each have their own separate player pools, meaning players are only competing against others in their own state.

In Pennsylvania on PokerStars PA, this marks the third running of PACOOP and the largest ever. There will be 69 events on the schedule, with guaranteed prize pools adding up to $2 million.

Over in Michigan on PokerStars MI, this will be the second ever MICOOP and again things are bigger and better. There the schedule will feature 68 events with guarantees adding up to $1.5 million.

Meanwhile in New Jersey the NJCOOP has been around for several years with the first one running on PokerStars NJ back in 2016. This year’s NJCOOP also expands the schedule from the 2020 version, this time featuring 60 events with $1 million in guarantees.

Big Main Events to climax COOP series

As noted, all three COOPs will culminate with $300 buy-in Main Events that will begin Sunday, Sept. 26. The tournaments will have similar two-day schedules, with guarantees as follows:

• PACOOP Main Event: $200,000 guaranteed prize pool
• MICOOP Main Event: $150,000 guaranteed prize pool
• NJCOOP Main Event: $100,000 guaranteed prize pool

Not only will the Main Event winners take home first-place prize money, but this time they’ll also receive a special COOP trophy for their triumphs. In fact, each COOP series will award 7 trophies in designated events, meaning there will be 21 trophies awarded altogether.

Satellites, freerolls, promotions throughout COOP

In each of the COOP series there will be a wide range of games and buy-ins, with some starting at just $10 to play. That gives players of all levels of skills, experience, and bankrolls a chance to take part.

There will be frequent satellites into COOP events on all three sites as well, thereby giving players another way to play events for less than the buy-ins.

On top of that, each site will be running other promotions and freerolls, too.

There will be $3 Spin & Go‘s running through Sept. 26 in which players can potentially win $300 Main Event tickets.

There will also be special Depositor Freerolls on all three sites on Sept. 26. Players just need to deposit at least $30 into their accounts using the appropriate promo code for their state and site — “PACOOP,” “MICOOP,” “NJCOOP” — and they’ll receive a free entry into the Depositor Freeroll. The top 50 finishers in the event will each receive a Main Event entry, which means in each case $15,000 worth of Main Event tickets will be awarded.

Additionally, there will be Second Chance Freerolls throughout the series as well. Anyone getting knocked out of a COOP event shy of the money will receive entry into the following day’s Second Chance Freeroll. In each case, those freerolls will award $5,000 worth of COOP tickets during the series.
