The official tournament clock shows the TCOOP 2014 Event #15 $215 Hyper-turbo, 6-Max lasting two hours and ten minutes. Take away 10 minutes for the two hourly breaks, and eight minutes for the three-way deal and CunningPlan was crowded as a TCOOP champ in under two hours or about the time it takes to get through rush hour traffic after an accident. M0NG19 would claim the most cash in the money split with $75,153.94 but CunningPlan’s dominance during heads-up earned the UK player the TCOOP champion’s card protector and $73,006.26.

In the time it takes for turbo SnG to finish up our 360 cashers secured at least $374.24 from their $215.00 buy-in with $93K still sitting up top. Four Red Spades managed the shove-fest well enough to claim some ROI. After just one hour of play the field of 2,818 players was erased to the tune of just 150. Team PokerStars Pros Matthias de Meulder 206th place ($534.63), Victor Ramdin 247th place ($445.52), Max Lykov 280th place ($392.06), and Lex Veldhuis 350th place ($374.24) all found a small profit for their less than an hour of work.

Thanks to the six-max, hyper-tubro format with three minute blinds only 58 would survive the first hour and 28 would make it to the hourly break. The latter group included two-time SCOOP champ Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro who took down Event #3-H in 2013 and the Main Event High title in 2011.

At the hour and 40 minute mark Phisherman36 would pick up $3,920.62 in 13th place bringing our number of tables from three to two as the average chip stack held just over 10BBs. And on the very next hand after the combination of the tables nmbrone1907 (Turkey) and Akameo (Hungary) would be asked to leave in 11th and 12th place respectively, both earning a pay jump to $5,197.80. Two minutes after that, things would tumble quickly into hand-for-hand play. Kelopuro would hang tough at a table where CunningPlan took in seven out of eight hands increasing the chip leading stack from 1.9 million to 3.7 million when andrekos0095 made a raise to 900,000 from the cutoff leaving only 28,860 behind with the blinds at 50K/100K ante 20K. Sami would fold the button and CunningPlan made the call in the big blind. After the 9♥ 8♥ K♣ flop andrekos0095 was all-in holding A♦ Q♣ to CunningPlan’s flopped top pair 10♦ K♥ . No aces on the 2♣ turn and 5â™  river and the TCOOP Event #15 final table was set before the two hour mark.

shrek returns to the forest

Six minutes into the final table and the blinds have already jumped to 80K/160K ante 32K, M0NG19 would try to take this one uncontested with a min-raise from the hijack seat as shrekpoker91 shoved for 1.27 million from the small blind. Aist84 however was not about to fold pocket tens 10♦ 10♥ in the big blind and re-shoved for 2.19 million. M0NG19 folded the original raise as shrekpoker91 turned over pocket eights 8♠ 8♥ . No fairy tale ending for shrekpoker91 as the board 3♣ K♦ J♠ 6♥ 5♥ lacked an eight, shipping $10,615.39 to shrekpoker91 in sixth place. A year to the day of the last TCOOP final table for shrekpoker91 also taking sixth in TCOOP 2013 Event #43.

“Deal anyone?”

On the next hand just as CunningPlan suggested a deal in the chat box, a little blind versus blind battle would halt the talks for a bit. Kelopuro would open shove from the small blind for 1.1 million chips and getting a call from M0NG19 holding a little less than four million chips and A♦ 10♦ . The suited ace had Sami in a tight spot with 6♣ K♣ that the two-time SCOOP champ could not wiggle out of after an ace flopped 4♣ A♠ 6♦ 3♠ 3♥ sending Kelopuro out in fifth place ($20,791.20).

Left out

With no deal in place our quartet would play seven more hands and watch the blinds move up to 125K/250K ante 50K before the next big all-in. Watch this

M0NG19 covered and flipped up pocket sixes 6♣ 6♦ as jonaj10’s K♥ J♦ missed the 4♦ Aâ™  7♦ 4♥ 6♥ board to finish in fourth place ($32,671.89) also missing out on the deal so be made. But, don’t feel too bad for jonaj10 as this was the second TCOOP 2014 final table for the Norwegian after taking sixth in Event #6.

A decent hourly rate

An average of $35,394.86 per hour was earned by our final three which Warren Buffett might even raise an eyebrow at. After an eight minute pause the three-way deal below left $5,000.00 on the table for the champ:

M0NG19 (Russia) $75,153.94
CunningPlan (United Kingdom) $68,006.26
Aist84 (Russia) $64,208.67

Still Cunning

Two hands after the three-way deal, and officially into the second hour of play the table was ready for heads-up play. The blinds held at 125K/250K ante 50K as CunningPlan raised to 666,666. Holding a mid-ace A♠ 8♣ this late in the game seemed like gold for Aist84 as the big blind shoved for 2.99 million. One ace is good, two aces are better, as CunningPlan snap called with pocket aces A♥ A♣ taking down the 6.1 million chip pot easily after the 4♠ 10♣ Q♠ 6♣ 10♠ produced no ill effects sending Aist84 off in third place ($64,208.67).

Five minutes to the title

These final tables will be replayed later in the client, with hole cards exposed if anyone wants to see how to turn $215 into > $65K in less time than it takes to watch The Hobbit“. Our Team Online representative Adrienne “talonchick” Rowsome expressed just how easy it looked for our final two to claim these high five-figure scores and a potential TCOOP title so quickly.

Five minutes into heads-up play as the blinds moved up to 200K/400K ante 80K and CunningPlan going on a complete tear by claiming eight of the last nine pots, the UK rounder would make it nine out of ten with this final hand below:

CunningPlan would shove from the button with A♣ Q♥ as M0NG19 perhaps tired of the barrage made the call for 3.64 million with 4♥ K♠ . A queen on the door Q♠ 4♣ J♦ 9♦ J♣ sent the remaining tournament chips to our TCOOP Event #15 champion CunningPlan!
