The World Championship of Online Poker has finally begun, only we don’t have much to say about it just yet. Nevertheless, here you’ll find the details from the weekend, including results from the weekend majors and what’s coming up in WCOOP today.

Hurry up and wait

Okay, fair enough. We’ll put our hands up and say absolutely nothing happened on Day 1 of WCOOP. It’s always the same. We big it up and look forward to it finally getting started. Then as the sun comes up on the morning after, we discover there’s nothing to hold up as proof that anything happened. In short we have no results to report.

That’s maybe a slight exaggeration.

Four events did begin yesterday, combining for $3 million in guaranteed prize pools, all of which will play out to a winner later today. So while we have no winners to report we can give some details of where those events currently stand.

Box scores from Day 1

We don’t have any of these to report, obviously, but this will be where they appear in each daily round up of WCOOP news. While it looks a bit dreary know it’ll be fantastic.

Current leader board standings

Same goes for this part of the report. Each day we’ll update you on who is top of the leader board, as well as the other contenders.
You can check out the leader board in full on the WCOOP homepage.
