Celebrity appearance in the HRC Sunday Cooldown
Itâs always fun to see celebrities giving it their all in major poker tournaments.
Neymar-Jr is a familiar face on the live circuit. We’ve seen him at the EPT Barcelona and on the final table of the 2018 BSOP High Roller event. This week, the legendary Brazilian superstar played in the $1,050 HRC Sunday Cooldown, and he made a decent go

of it too.
He may be best known for his football skills, but Neymar-Jr is no slacker at the tables either. Heâs good friends with pro Andre Akkari, and is always looking to learn and improve his game. Neymar-Jr did make the final table, eventually finishing seventh for $3,663 and leaving a tough field to play it out for the top prizes.
âpapan9_p$â, whoâs results include two Sunday Wrap-up wins, came second for a total of $17,698. Two-time TCOOP champion âGeraldoCesarâ from Brazil outlasted took first place for a total of $36,147, of which $21k came from bounties.
Supersonic scores
Whatâs the fastest way to win thousands of dollars in an MTT? It has to be the hyper-turbo Supersonic tourneys. Thousands of entrants, thousands of dollars for first, all in a few short hours of play.
This week there was a special Summer Series edition of the $22 Mini Sunday Supersonic, boosting the prizes up closer to the levels of the higher stakes events. âStarshypeâ from Germany finished first after a three-way chop, scoring $17,437.
In the $215 version, âShowstop86â, also from Germany, earned $24,477 in just two 2ÂŒ hours, whilst âJamie_KKâ outlasted fellow UK player âpads1161â in the NLO8 Supersonic, earning $5k.
The $1,050 HRC Sunday Supersonic is serious business, attracting big names to the race. This weekâs winner is a bit of a hyper-turbo regular. Theyâre previous results include several Daily Supersonic wins. Now they can add the Sunday version to their list. âHUANGSHIRENâ from China claims first, $31,708 in under two hours.
