Home / Uncategorized / Weekend planner: Mmmmmmm…MicroMillions, Manila, and More

We always forget this business is a marathon, and the weekends make us want to sprint. Or maybe it’s our ongoing relationship with Usain Bolt. In any case, we’ve been going at full speed for a bit.

After last weekend’s WSOP, Usain Bolt, and Korea adventures, we’re not entirely sure we’re going to be able to keep up the pace with the weekend fun.

But, hey, let’s try anyway!

MicroMillions Main Event

Your best opportunity to come out of the weekend a a big winner is the biggest little tournament in the world. I mean, where else are you going to put up $22 and get a $1 million guarantee? Where else are you going to buy in for $22 and have a shot at a $100,000+ first prize?

MicroMillions is coming to the end of its 129 events, and it’s going big on its final day.

Sunday at 14:00 ET, you can get into the $1 million guaranteed final for $22. Or, if you prefer you can play satellite for as little as $1.10 or 35 StarsCoin.

For full information, visit the MicroMillions web page.

PokerStars Festival Manila

We’re headed back Manila. Beginning today, The City of Dreams casino will host the first ever PokerStars Festival in that city.

At one point a favorite stop on the APPT, PokerStars Festival Manila is now the center spotlight for poker.

The 11-day festival will run 56 tournaments and satellites. It begins with the ₱16,500 PokerStars Open and a ₱4 million guarantee. It will wrap up with the ₱55,000 Main Event beginning Thursday, August 3 at 2 p.m. local time. The City of Dreams has a seriously nice ballroom for the tournament area and a poker room for live cash games with stakes starting at ₱25/50 all the way up to ₱200/400.

The PokerStars Blog will have coverage of the Main Event. Stick with us for more.
