The last time Team PokerStars Pro William Thorson sat down for a PLO side event it was at EPT London. He won that, taking £52,400. This week he decided to have another go right here at the PCA. It was a $5,000 entry fee – and he went and won that as well.

That’s pretty impressive to get two PLO titles in a row. This time he bested a field of 72 players, and took $72,465 for his efforts.

The field was tough, with the final table alone boasting names such as Robert Williamson III and Carlos Mortensen.

Another Team PokerStars Pro to score big in the past few days was Dutchman Pieter de Korver, who won the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final back in May. This time his success was in the $1,000 NL 6-max event, where his victory secured him more than $100,000.

More success, although in an altogether different sort of event, for German Team Pro Benjamin Kang. He and his partner Mathias Kuerschner scooped the $2,000 PLO/PLHE Tag event for $31,430.

Take a look over at our side events results page, where stats are put up as and when they become known.
