Players are coming from their first break to face 400/800 blinds.
The average stack is about 15,000 and some leaders are starting to emerge. Stephen Wong, from Hong Kong, appears to be leading the field with about 60,000.
2010 Macau Millions champ, Justin Chan, has also had a strong surge of chips. Chan had aces and got it all-in against an opponent on a 4♣ 5♥ 8♥ flop.
While Chan had rockets, his opponent had a set. The turn was a filling 5♠but then an A♥ fell on the river to save Chan. Chan cheered and doubled up to about 30,000.
Percy Yung has also surged above average and now has more than 20,000.
Team PokerStars Celina Lin wasn’t so lucky.
After a short stack moved all-in for 1,800, Lin re-shoved for 13,000. Another player called and we had a three-way showdown.
The short stack showed ace-five, Lin turned over Q♣ Q♠and the third player turned over J♦ J♣ . There was a collective gasp when the 10♣ J♠5♥ flop brought a jack.
No salvation came for Lin and she was eliminated from the Macau Millions again. With enough time to re-buy, Lin decided to give it a second shot.
After re-buying, Lin was seated at the same table she was eliminated from.
“Now I have a chance to get my chips back,” Lin said. “With interest.”
