That’s a wrap for Day 2 of the record-breaking Macau Millions. We’re left with 8 players instead of 9 due the double elimination late in the night. Xu Huang, who won the pot that left us a man short for tomorrow will start as chip leader when play resumes with 6.7 million chips. Chen An Lin and Aditya Sushant, who were both tournament leader at stages of the day will start with the second most chips with over 5 million apiece. The ever-smiling Zhochang Xu, has 4.3 million chips to his name, and was amongst the leaders all day. Max Menzel, who was a clear leader early in the day, managed to hang on and will start with 2.7 million. Guigen Xiao had a run late, doubling up twice with brazen all-ins and now starts tomorrow with 2.6 million. The short stacks will be Fangjie Chen and Wei Lin, both just over a million in chips left each.

We ended play with the hand of the day. Yazhou Chen started the insanity pushing his 1.2 million all-in pre-flop. Wilson did the same in the seat next to him with his 1.8 million. Xu Huang said ‘Give me a piece of that’ and threw down K♠ – K♦ He had both players covered chip-wise. Chen showed 8♣ – 8♦ and Lim flipped over A♠ – 9♠ . The flop came 6♠ – Q♠ – 10♣ , putting Huang way out in front. The turn was a 10♥ , everyone still live with a card to come. The river, a 2♣ , came with a thud for Chen and Lim. Huang’s pocket kings reigning supreme and sending both men to the rail. An exciting hand to end the day and leaving us with a man down on the Final Table.

Yen Chang Chiang pushes all-in and comes out a winner. He doubles up to over half a million chips. aditya Sushant made the donation, but don’t let that fool you, he’s still going strong and in the top three on the chip leaderboard.

Guigen Xiao was the small-stack at his table, he had to get it all in there sooner all later. Zhochang Xu shoved first with J♠ – J♥ , Xiao did likewise with K♦ – 10♠ . Xiao hit a king on the flop and never looked back. Winning a pot of 605k and getting a glimmer of hope back in his eyes.

Walked in on Yang Yang shoving all her chips in the middle. Xu Huang called and his 9♠ – 9♣ held up against Yang’s 9♦ – 7♦ . It was a minimal win for Huang as Yang was barely hanging on after losing a big chunk to Chen An Lin just before the break. Our final female player exits.

Yang Yang led the betting with a raise to 130k, Chen An Lin called. The flop hit the felt 8♦ – 10♠ – 9♠ . Yang three-bet again and Lin doubled it. Yang said all-in and Lin called. Yang’s K♥ – K♦ paled in comparison to Lin’s Q♣ – J♣ flopped straight. The turn and river gave Yang nothing, and Lin pulled in 1.8 million in chips, giving him near 2.5 under his nose.
10:52pm Mohamed Afiq bin Ahmad Eliminated

All the action was pre-flop. Xujan Huang raised to 120k. Mohamed Afiq bin Ahmad pushed for 725k. Huang called fast showing A♦ – 9♦ . Afiq bin flipped over A♣ – Q♠ . The board played out a 9♣ – J♥ – 9♥ – K♦ – 2♦ . Afiq bin unlucky, but he has to walk.

Aditya Sushant is going from strength to strength. His chip stack is now over 6 million and he’s our clear chip leader. He just busted Yu Gao out of the tournament. Gao shoved and Sushant called. Gao showing A♠ – 10♥ with Sushant having A♦ – K♦ , the flop came 5♥ – A♣ – J♣ – 9♣ – 2♦ . Sushant a clear winner and continuing his domination.

Fangjie Chen led the betting with a 120k raise pre-flop and was called by Max Menzel. Wilson Lim took his time and then re-raised to 425k. Chen went into the think tank for a good 5 minutes, but folded in the end. Menzel did the same immediately after him. The play is definitely tightening up now that we’re at two tables with the prize-money jumping significantly bump to bump.

Aditya Sushant has had a great hour nearly doubling up since the dinner break. His 6♥ – 7♥ , which turned into two pair on the flop just won him another huge pot after an all-in by an opponent with Q♦ – Q♥ . Sushant is near 3 million in chips now and close to chip leader.
9:46pm Wei LIn Makes a Move

Wei Lin went all-in on a board that read 3♣ – 10♥ – 7♠ – 2♣ – 8♣ . His opponent bet 200k on river but Lin fired the shove in retort, and the fold came lickety split. Lin takes down a 600k pot and goes over 2 million in chips.
9:30pm Three-time Qualifier Xiaosheng Zheng Busts

Xiaosheng Zheng’s crazy few days come to end at the hands of Aditya Sushant. Zheng qualified in each flight in the lead-up to day 2 so he’s made some good coin this week. Add to that his pay-out for tonight. Zheng led out pre-flop with 100k, Sushant raised to 230k. Zheng pushed his whole stack after some quick thought Sushent called without hesitation showing A♠ – A♦ . Zheng showed A♥ – Q♦ , and the race gave him a queen on the river but he was done dusted by the bullets. Sushent hauled in a near million chip pot and is has close to 2.5 million in his stack.
9:12pm Menzel Wins Big

Whilst everyone else was moving about during the reshuffle of seats Max Menzel took down a huge pot. i went over to the crowd and saw a board reading K♠ –A♦ – 9♠ – J♠ . Yauzhou Chen had checked to Menzel who only bet 25k into a 1.5 million chip pot. Zhou thought and thought, but eventually folded and gifted Menzel the monster win, putting him near the 2.4 million chip mark.
9:00pm Hung Chiang Chew Shoves

Caught the end of a pre-flop all-in from Hung Chiang Chew of near 600k. He woke up with 5♠ – 5♥ and hit 5♦ on the flop. With one caller, he doubles up to over a million now.

Mucho action at the feature table. Pre-flop Chen An Lin made it 75k to go and got reraised by Aditya Sushant, who made it 200k. Alexandre Rongshe Chieng wasn’t going to be left out, shoving all-in for 231k. Both players call. Chieng is looking pretty happy at this stage. The board read 4♦ – 3♣ – A♠ after the flop and both Lin and Sushant checked it. The turn came a J♦ , Lin checked, Sushant followed. The river was a 7♦ , Lin checked again and Sushant moved for chips which lead to Lin insta-folding. Chieng showed a pocket pair, 10♦ – 10♥ but it couldn’t beat Sushant’s A♣ – J♥ , the pair of jacks delivering Sushant a 700k plus pot and pushing his stack toward 1.3 million chips.
The remaining 31 Main Event players are now on a 60-minute dinner break with the action resuming at 8.50pm so stick around as we play down to the final table.
7:28pm Chen An Lin Plays Serious Poker
Level 25: Blinds 15, 000/30,000 Ante 5000
The board read 6♣ – 6♦ – 9♥ – 3♥ when I ambled over. Chen An Lin and Kla Kungvankij the only players left in the hand, seated beside one another at the feature table. The river came out a 8♦ and Lin checked to Kungvankij who bet 250k. Lin took his time and then made the call, showing 2♣ – 2♦ and taking down a 1.3 million chip pot. He has a stack near double that amount now.
7:10pm Wei Lin’s Sick Pot
Level 24: Blinds 12, 000/24,000 Ante 4000
Walked in on a board showing 2♣ – 9♣ – 10♣ – J♦ – 8♦ . Yang Qin made a pot sized bet of 350k on the river, Wei Lin thought a little then said all-in with Qin quickly calling. Lin hit the table in glee and showed A♣ – 3♣ , Qin flipped over Q♣ – 3♣ , but it was nowhere near enough. Lin scooped in 1.36 million, Qin left with a little over 100k.

Some new big dogs are emerging, Chen An Lin, Yu Guo, Victor Chong and Kla Kungvankij (all now at the same table) are all well above the chip average of 750k. Looking forward to some action over there. Down to 5 tables and counting.

Walking around the floor I came across two separate all-in pushes. Piet Pape shoved his 200k and took the blinds. Alexandre Rongshe Chieng did the same at the table over with his 300k, also collecting the blinds. Fortune favoring the brave on both occasions.

We’ve lost over 10 players since coming back from the break and are down to six tables – but it isn’t all push and hope. Xu and Fung are still locked in battle on their table. In a recent hand Fung bet out at 100k pre-flop on Xu’s big blind. Xu called and the flop showed 10♥ – 9♣ – 8♠ . Acting first Xu bet 200k, putting Fung into think mode again. After some time he eventually folded. It’s a great battle within a battle over there.
5:55pm A Yu Pushes

Straight after the break A Yu woke with A♦ – J♠ , Yen- Chang Chiang bet out 50k and Yu decided now was the time pushing herself all-in with over 400k. Chiang called and showed A♣ – K♠ . The cards ran 10♠ – 6♠ – 3♠ – 10♥ – K♥ , Leaving Yu with no choice but to walk. Chiang a happy man pulling in a pot worth over 800k.

Zhochang Xu has had a good day so far, but Ping Cheong Fung just took a very nice pot from him and pushed himsef up over half a million chips. Xu was the agressor on the button with a flop of 5♥ – 7♣ – 9♠ two-betting it and Fung calling. Xu three-bet a turn of 7♥ , leaving Fung, who had a smallish stack to think long and hard. Eventually Fung pushed showed Q♣ – 7♠ giving him trips and being way ahead of Xu who showed 3♣ – 5♣ . The river didn’t help either man and Fung took it down.
5:07pm Yi Wins Big

On the button Seung Tae Yi raised 110k. Max Menzel, thought about it but got out of the way leaving Piet Pape to make the call. The flop came out 6♦ – 8♠ – 4♣ and Yi lead out with another 75k. Pape took his time but folded. Yi getting a very healthy 300k pot.

Eyeballing it Max Menzel still looks the chip leader. His table has just been broken so time will tell if his new surroundings cause him any problems. Hes’s had a stranglehold on his original table since the get-go today.

4:10pm Action galore with Chun Wai Ken Tong

Yiling Feng both went all-in pre-flop here. The flop showed 7♦ – 4♥ – 6♦ . Chun Wai Ken Tong raised and Leanne Ball went all in over the top. Tong called and showed trip 7’s. Ball showed pocket 10’s and Feng pocket 6’s which also gave him trip 6’s but it was no help. Tong took down a 220k pot and goes to near 600k on chips.
3:59pm Mohamed Afiq bin takes down face off

His opponent jumped and walked so quick I couldn’t even get his name. But Mohamed Afiq bin took down a 220k pot calling an all-in. He showed 3♠ – A♦ and was up against K♥ – 10♣ . The flop came out 2♦ – 5♥ – 5♦ – 8♠ – 8♣ , his ace giving him the win.
3:36pm Zhochang Xu cleans up again

Xu is on a serious roll now, betting 350k into a 120k pot with a flop 9♠ –7♦ – 8♥ . Everyone insta-folds and he shows 9♥ – 7♠ in the hole. He has a pile adding up to about 1.4 million chips in front of him.
3:36pm Yuanning Wu adds some more to his stash

A flop of J♠ – 3♥ – Q♥ was showing with 120k already in. Wu and his opponent checked a turn of 4♠ and did the same on a river of 4♦ . Wu showed his J♦ – 10♠ , his competitor mucked. Wu is getting a serious stack now, close to a million.

One of the stories of the first round of levels has been Zhouchang Xu. He started the day with 22k to his name, and now has close to a million. He was a happy man as he went to get something to eat and a coffee.

Bit of controversy at Menzel’s table, big crowd gathered watching a split pot of over 100k go down. Menzel adamant his opponent mucked but the ruling goes the other way. Both player show the ace-high straight.

Walking in late on a hand I see 60k in the pot and a flop of Q♣ – 7♥ –J♥ . Ruizhu Pang and Jiewei Yang doing battle. Pang acts first on a turn that comes up J♥ and she bets out 20k. Yang responds strongly with 60k sending Pang into the think tank. She counts her chips, looks at the board. Takes her time, a good five minutes…throws it away.
2:13pm: Double for Qu

Kai Qu pushes 80k all-in pre-flop and gets one caller. Qu shows 7♣ – 6♣ up against K♣ – Q♠ .
It plays out as 10♠ – 9♥ – 4♦ – 7♦ – A♠ , Qu pairs up and doubles up in the process.
1:37pm: Laurent takes from Chen
Level 17: Blinds 2500/5000 ante 500
Frenchman Sebastian Laurent takes down a nice pot to double up against 2014 winner Hao Chen.
Chen bet at every opportunity, Laurent taking his time with each call.
The flop came down K♦ – 10♠ – Q♣ .
The turn came showed 3♣ , Laurent checked it and Chen bet 30K.
The river landed a 2♥ and Laurent checked again, Chen betting out 100K. Laurent deliberated thoroughly then made the call. Chen showed A♠ – 9♠ , Laurent flipped over pocket tens for trips and doubled up.

A wise man once said ‘Records are made to be broken’, and they were smashed once again at PokerStars LIVE Macau. The 2018 Macau Millions Main Event broke its own record for largest-ever Macau tournament field, attracting a massive 2,499 entrants.
Day 1C drew a monster field of 1,222 runners – 707 in the standard flight and 515 in the turbo flight – a Macau-record in itself, breaking the previous single-day high which was set at 1,079 during Day 1C of the 2016 Macau Millions Main Event. Combined with the Day 1A and 1B totals of 486 and 791 respectively, this set a new record for Asia’s gaming capital.
The Main Event obliterated its HK$3 million guarantee with the prize pool weighing in at more than HK$6.5 million.
Sunday’s Day 2 will begin with 173 starters, all of whom have secured a min-cash of HK$9,000, with the eventual winner walking away with the HK$1,159,000 top prize, in addition to a PSPC Platinum Pass worth US$30,000.

It is Day 1B frontrunner Yazhou Chen the man leading the charge after bagging up a massive 566,000 in chips, with India’s Sahil Chuttani (514,000) sitting second in the counts. Other big stacks include China’s Pfan Zheng (507,000), Russia’s Alexander Ryskin (390,500), Hong Kong’s Fan Zhang (295,000) and China’s Yiling Feng.
