10:10pm: Break time
The remaining players are heading on a 10-minute break.

Make sure to join us in a new blog post once play resumes.

10:05pm: Same-same for Lim
Aaron Lim opened the hi-jack with a raise to 700 which was met with a three-bet next to act to 2,200. Once the action returned to Lim, he made it 4,800 total with his opponent making the call.

The Q♥ 6♦ 5♦ 10♣ 7♣ board was checked down to see Lim table his A♥ K♥ and his opponent his A♣ K♣ to see the pot chopped up.

10:05pm: Nelson climbing back
Lee Nelson opened to 650 and was met with a call next to act from Jack Salter. Nelson continued for 800 on the A♦ 8♣ 3♣ flop with Salter calling as the 4♥ landed on the turn.

Nelson pushed out a bet of 1,800 and Salter open-folded his 6♦ 6♠ as Nelson collected the pot to move to 14,000 in chips.

10:00pm: Tom Choi goes bang!
Singapore player Tom Choi is the new chip leader.

But not just by a few thousand or even 10,000, but a massive 55,000 over his nearest rival as he sits with 125,500.

What makes this amazing is that we’re only a little past the half way mark of the day and he already has a stack larger then Day 1A chip leader Kai Sheng Yang who ended the day with 120,500.

9:50pm: Up to 197
Another player has just taken their seat in today’s tournament, and currently there are 197 in today’s Day 1B flight.

9:40pm: Tsuchikawa toppled
2013 Asia Player of the Year front runner Tetsuya Tsuchikawa found himself all in holding 4x-4x against Alvin Cheam’s 10♦ 10♣ .

The board ran out 7♥ A♠ J♦ 7♠ Q♣ to see Tsuchikawa eliminated without adding any points to his number one overall spot in the standings.

9:30pm: Aaron Lim takes a seat
Recent WSOP Asia Pacific bracelet winner Aaron Lim has just joined the field getting the tournament oh-so-close that magic number of 200 they have been striving for all day.

9:20pm: Alner eliminates Middleton
It was a battle of the Tom’s and it would Tom Alner coming out on top as he just eliminated Tom Middleton.

Middleton was rushing out of the tournament area as the cards were being mucked and chips being pushed, but what we do know is that Alner held 9♦ 9♠ and had flopped top set.

Middleton was looking a bit disgusted with the elimination, so one can assume that maybe an overpair was cracked. Either way, Alner is the one still in and sitting with roughly 45,000 in chips.

9:10pm: Level up, blinds 150/300, ante 25

9:05pm: Karamalikis chops
Catching the action on the 7♣ 10♣ 6♠ flop and the pot sitting at 1,850, Jonathan Karamalikis continuation-bet 700 from the hi-jack only to have the cutoff raise to 1,700.

Karamalikis made the call before both players checked the 7♥ on the turn as the 9♠ landed on the river. Karamalikis bet out 500 and the cutoff quickly raised to 3,000 which Karamalikis just as quickly called.

The cutoff tabled his 8♠ 8♣ for a straight as Karamalikis tabled his 8♦ 6♦ to play the same straight. Karamalikis is currently sitting with roughly 14,000 in chips.

9:00pm: Tsuchikawa finds folds
Facing two limps, Tetsuya Tsuchikawa bumped it up with a raise to 1,025 which was called by both players; one of which was Dennis Huntly.

The flop landed K♠ 6♠ 4♥ and the action checked to Tsuchikawa who opted to bet out 2,100. Both players chose to fold with Huntly open-mucking his A♦ Q♣ as Tsuchikawa raked in the pot to move to 18,500 in chips.

8:55pm: Ferrera falls
Following what appeared to be a raise and a call, Keith Ferrera three-bet the cutoff to 2,500 and forced the blinds and another player out before the hi-jack four-bet to 5,725.

Ferrera contemplated his decision for a few moments before making the call as the dealer spread a 9♦ 3♥ 4♥ flop.

The hi-jack looked at Ferrera’s stack for a few seconds and then cut out a bet of 7,625 only to have Ferrera move all in for roughly 25,000. The hi-jack instantly made the call and the cards were placed on their backs.

Ferrera: A♣ 10♠
Opponent: A♥ K♥

With Ferrera in bad shape needing to spike only one of two tens available, the turn and river landed the J♣ and 5♣ to send the American to the rail.

8:40pm: Grigg runs into straight flush
Catching the action on the flop with the board reading 9♠ 6♦ 2♠ we found both Tom Grigg and his opponent committing chips to see the pot move to around the 4,000-chip mark.

The turn of the Qâ™  was checked through to see the Kâ™  land on the river with Grigg pushing out 1,550. His opponent went into the tank for a few moments before making it 4,000 to go as it would be Grigg now heading deep into the tank to find a decision. That decision would be an additional raise to 10,000 total, and once his opponent was told the amount, he instantly pushed his stack into the middle.

Although only a few thousand more, Grigg quickly folded before his opponent could finish his all-in theatrics as the Australian slipped to 39,000. Fortunately for Grigg it would be a good fold as his opponent tabled his Jâ™  10â™  for a straight flush.

8:30pm: Karamalikis arrives
The latest player to make a late arrival is Jonathan Karamalikis who luckily drew a table full of randoms in comparison to some of the stacked ones in the other parts of the tournament area.

8:20pm: Updated chip counts
After walking around the tournament floor, it still appears as though Julius Colman is on top with roughly 55,000 in chips while Tom Grigg, Randy Lew and Vivian Im are the next closest with over double their starting stack.

Macau veteran Darren Judges hasn’t been spotted, and from our accounts appear to have been eliminated.

8:10pm: Play resumes
The cards are now back in the air with just under 180 players remaining of the 194 entrants from Day 1B.
