One of the best aspects of poker is testing your own abilities.
There’s no denying that luck can play a big part at the table on any given day, but we all know that in the long run, the skill factor always trumps the variance. What better way to test that skill than by playing against the Team PokerStars Pros?
That’s exactly what players can do here at ANZPT Melbourne this week. One of the newest additions to the PokerStars Team Taiwan’s Chen-an Lin is among the action already, with more Red Spades expected to make an appearance during late registration or tomorrow for Day 1b.
Already off to a good start by climbing to 29,000 in chips from a start bank of 20,000, Lin will be hoping to run good here in Melbourne and add to his growing poker resume.
Expected to be joining Lin on the felt this week is fellow Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang. He’s in town for the event but didn’t start off his trip in the most enjoyable manner. The Singapore local took to social media to describe his less than desirable flight down under.
“Rough full flight from Singapore to Melbourne, big disgusting bogan next to me farting, scratching his crotch, invading my space and much more. At least I’m here now” Huang posted.
Unfortunately for Huang the run bad didn’t end there either. He went on to finish 21st in the $1,100 Six Max event later that night, just four shy of the 17 paid positions. With that elimination he announced he’d likely be playing the Main Event today, but with still no sign of him into Level 3 here, he might be taking a day off to unwind before Day 1B tomorrow.
For now though it’s back to the action. Be sure to stay tuned for more stories from here at Crown Melbourne, and follow along for all the updates and information from your favourite players.
