Some exciting news from the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour today with confirmed dates announced for several stops on Season 6 of the ANZPT. The new season will kick off at the SKYCITY Auckland Casino with the NZ$2,200 ANZPT Auckland Main Event running from 20-24 November 2013.

From there, the tour heads back to Perth in February and then Sydney in March with further events expected to be announced for Melbourne later in the year.

In Season 5, the ANZPT ventured to Melbourne, Auckland, Perth, Sydney and Queenstown with the hugely successful ANZPT Repechage event bringing a massive 844 entries and a prizepool of $844,000 in a first for the ANZPT.

Once again the ANZPT will be offering points at each event which contribute towards the Player of the Year leader board. The prize for the ANZPT Player of the Year is sponsorship into four Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) events. The Player of the Year runner-up wins sponsorship to four ANZPT events.

In Season Four, Mishel Anunu won player of the year, with Anthony Aston taking the runner up prize. The race for the Season 5 POTY is heating up with Japan’s Iori Yogo holding the lead after three strong results on the ANZPT, with the season climaxing at the APPT Melbourne on September 9th 2013.
