An hour into this APPT final table brought the first elimination.

It was Japan’s Takuya Suzuki who hit the rail in ninth place, knocked out at the hands of our new chip leader Jason Mo.

The action was opened by Mo with an under the gun raise to 28,000. Suzuki next to act moved all in for around 340,000 and it folded back around to Mo who snapped it off with the best of it.

Mo: K♥ K♠
Suzuki: A♥ K♦

Suzuki was chasing an ace but the flop of K♣ 10â™  6♥ saw Mo spike top set and all but end it right there. The turn 7♣ and river J♦ couldn’t save Suzuki and he was sent to the rail in ninth place for KRW15,780,000 ($14,426).

The score was Suzuki’s fourth best yet, and the player adds to his already $163,340 in total live earnings. His biggest prize to date was a runner up finish in the 2011 Macau Poker Cup High Rollers Event for $38,964.

Our first final table elimination, Takuya Suzuki

The very next hand saw Irishman Daniel Kneafsey join Suzuki on the rail. Kneafsey moved all in for his final 159,000 before Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang to his immediate left moved all in over the top. With the other players out of the way the two tabled their cards.

Huang: A♥ K♥
Kneafsey: J♠ J♦

It was a race but the flop of A♦ 6♥ 4♣ saw Huang jump to the lead. Kneafsey failed to find a jack on the turn 6♦ or river 5♥ and instead found the exit in eighth place. He collects KRW20,510,000 ($18,750) for his finish here in Seoul.

Kneafsey finished runner up in a UK Poker Tour event in November last year for $61,585, and his score today will add to his $119,542 in previous live cashes.
