With a Main Event featuring BRL 1,000,000 (approx. USD 300,000) guaranteed for the winner, expect records to be broken again.

The 2016 edition of BSOP Millions (sponsored by PokerStars.net) will be held between November 22 and December 1, in the gigantic Golden Hall of the Sheraton WTC in São Paulo.

The biggest poker festival in Brazil will have various attractions for players, with new innovations in place for BSOP Millions 2016.

In total, there will be 36 tournaments played in a multiple formats and buy-in levels, including events for women and senior players. Check below some of the innovations that will permeate the event and get ready for the biggest poker event in Latin America.

MAIN EVENT

The Main Event will keep its structure, with a buy-in of BRL 3,500.00 (approx. USD 1,100.00) and 60 minute levels for the first days, and 90 minute levels on Days 4 and 5. The Main Event champion will receive at least BRL 1,000,000.00 (approx. USD 300,000.00). Last year, André Andreis was crowned champion and earned BRL 1,400,000,00.

GIANT FIELD

The first tournament of the BSOP Millions is already is already expected to feature an enormous field. Last year some 3,875 players took seats which made for a BRL 750,000.00 guaranteed prize pool. This year that guaranteed prize pool will be BRL 1 Million. The tournament structure will remain the same, with 30 minute levels on Days 1, and 45 minutes levels from Day 2 onwards.

SUPER HIGH ROLLERS

Tournament #2 in BSOP Millions this year will be the Super High Roller event, featuring the highest buy-in of the festival, BRL 15,000.00 (approx. USD 4,700.00), and reuniting the best professionals from across Latin America. With a starting stack of 100,000 chips, the SHR will have two starting days and 60 minutes levels.

POT LIMIT OMAHA

Omaha features prominently in this edition of BSOP Millions. There will be several tournaments in various structures, including Knockout and Turbo formats. The highlight, however, is Tournament #7, which has a BRL 5,000.00 buy-in and will be played in Pot Limit Omaha 6-handed format. This tournament will last three days, thanks to the 50,000 starting stack and 60 minutes levels.

LAPT BRAZIL

The Latin American Poker Tour is back in Brazil with the BSOP Millions. This time, the event will last three days with a BRL 8,000.00 (approx. USD 2,500.00) buy-in. This tournament will replace the traditional BSOP High Roller and players finishing in the money will score points in both BSOP and LAPT rankings.

Here are some of the other highlights of the BSOP Millions 2016:

* Event #13 is a Heads-up tournament, with a BRL 3,000.00 buy-in and 64 players cap.
* A huge success, the NLH Mix-Max event will last two days.
* Event #19 is a NLH Turbo tournament with a BRL 500,000.00 guaranteed prize pool.
