PokerStars is not just about online poker. Some of our best winning moments have come away from the virtual felt; on real tables with real cards and chips.

These moments are made even more special when the gifted amateur takes on the professionals toe-to-toe. This is one of the reasons why we in PokerStars love the game; every player is equal at the table once the cards are in the air, and a flash of skill or a little bit of luck can be all it takes for the amateur to create their own special moment.

There is no better example of this then the time we gave amateur Ernest Wiggins a bankroll and put him into a game with the undisputed biggest names in poker, Phil Hellmuth, Tony G, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Laak, and Doyle Brunson. He managed to take home $50,000 in profit from the pros, and create one three of the most unforgettable poker hands in history. We have had this video playing on repeat in the PokerStars office for the past week, and I never get sick of watching it.

It is in that spirit that we have created the “PokerStars Championship Cash Challenge“. We are going to take two players, stake them with a five-figure bankroll, and seat them with some of the biggest players in the world in one of the most famous card-playing destinations in the world. It’s easy to qualify for the audition and win the opportunity to tell us YOUR story. If you are lucky enough to be chosen, we will make sure your story becomes unforgettable.

Even if you don’t get chosen, you can still come and join us at the PokerStars Championship being held in Monte Carlo from April 25th. There will be plenty of ways to qualify online via satellites and Spin&Go qualifiers.
