Blinds: 6,000-12,000 (ante: 1,000)

6.15pm: Double up for Daraux
David Daraux finally got his caller when he re-raised all in, for his last 82,000, after Bruni Launais opened. Daraux didn’t like the call, at least not initially, as he sheepishly tabled 8c-9c. Launais was even more ovine, however, when he showed 5d-6d. The flop was eight-high and Daraux doubled up.

5.45pm: All Jorns
With minutes to go in the level there’s not much to report before blinds go up once more. David Daraux moved all in – twice – but got no takers either time. Jorn Walthaus pushed Andrea Benelli off a pot a few hands before Benelli did the same to Jorn.

5.35pm: Bluffing with the best hand
Jonathan Azoulay bet 40,000 with four cards exposed: 4s-5c-3c-10c. Andrea Benelli called. The river was the 4h and Azoulay bet 54,000, which forced Benelli to fold. Azoulay triumphantly flipped A-6o for ace-high and the air of someone satisfied with a successful bluff. Benelli reached for his mucked cards and showed K-6o as if to say, “No. It was a good laydown.”

5.25pm: Piva gone
David Daraux moved all-in for 60,000 but got no takers. Andrea Piva did the same with Q-J and was called by Moritz Kranich with pocket nines. The nines held and we’re down to 13.

5.20pm: Dhorasoo kicked into touch
Vikash Dhorasoo, the footballer turned poker player, has just made his way to the rail. His A-10 pre-flop found no help against the J-J of Tomas De Hoog and we are down to the last 14.

Six more will depart before we set our final table.

5.05pm: Clemencon on the up again
Tristan Clemencon just took down another huge pot, this time fleecing Arnaud Esquevin for a good 400,000 pot. Clemencon bet 150,000 on the river, looking at a board of Ac-7d-10s-6s-8h and Esquevin call-insta-mucked when Clemencon showed Jc-9c for the straight.

5pm: Osti ousted
Mercedes Osti is out. Her last act was to move all in for 29,000 from the small blind. Only Jonathan Azoulay in the big blind was left and dutifully called, showing Q-T to Osti’s Q-J. She was ahead but not for long, a ten hitting the flop to take us down to 15.

Level 21 begins with 16 players still in the mix. Moritz Kranich is still the chip leader and the first past a million. He has 1,400,000. The new chip count will appear on the chip count page any minute.
