Home / Uncategorized / EPT Deauville: Zimnan Ziyard turns Main Event woes into a €33,000 win

Former EPT champ Zimnan Ziyard bust out of the Main Event in 69th place for €11,500. It was ultimately a disappointing finish for the Loutraki winner who had been chip leader for a time and best placed to achieve that elusive first double (well into the ninth season of the EPT we’re yet to see anyone claim two Main Event titles – you can read about Ziyard’s win here).

Ziyard’s stumble in the big one did allow him to get involved in some side event action and that ended up paying off with a €33,000 win in the €880 Deepstack. Fellow EPT champ David Vamplew also made the money as did Ireland’s Jason Tompkins, who made his maiden EPT final table this season.
