Vanessa Selbst has her sights set on the EPT Player of the Year title, but still has to catch German wunderkind Ole Schemion. Selbst’s results have been quite amazing this season with big points and money coming from third places in both the PCA $25,500 High Roller ($607,580) and PCA $100,000 Super High Roller ($760,640). Selbst also won a UKIPT High Roller in London for £67,499 and a PLO Championship in Prague for €100,700.
Schemion however has made seven final tables this season to notch up a huge lead and 885.90 points. Selbst thought that she may have clawed some of that deficit back with a runner-up finish yesterday in a €4,900 PLO tournament for €20,100, but it didn’t have enough runners to contribute points. It’s a tough life at the top as PokerStars.tv’s Sarah Grant found out.
