Home / Uncategorized / EPT11 Malta: Down to the elite eight in the High Roller

The Main Event isn’t the only huge field, big buy-in event reaching its conclusion today as the €10,000 High Roller will also be playing to a finish. At the start of play Nick Petrangelo was leading the 18 players who returned to action and there was no budging him from top spot as the field was reduced to eight.

The remaining players, who’ve all locked up €75,000, stacked up like this when the final table got under way a short time age:

Seat one: Sylvain Loosli, 575,000
Seat two: Artem Metalidi, 1,970,000
Seat three: Igor Yaroshevskyy, 1,180,000
Seat four: Viacheslav Goryachev, 2,050,000
Seat five: Ivan Luca, 2,600,000
Seat six: David Peters, 2,500,000
Seat seven: Nick Petrangelo, 3,500,000
Seat eight: Charlie Carrel, 1,450,000

Nick Petrangelo still leads

Blinds are 20,000/40,000 ante 5,000 which means that Petrangelo’s lead is 22.5 big blinds from Ivan Luca and it was the Argentinian who made most ground when the players combined for the unofficial final table of nine players. He first pulled off a huge bluff against David Peters and then eliminated Nicola D’Anselmo in ninth place. The Italian like, Sam Greenwood (18th), Steve O’Dwyer (17th), Sardor Gaziev (16th), Davidi Kitai (15th), Simon Higgins (14th), Ludovic Geilich (13th), Daniel Ghionoiu (12th), Mike McDonald (11th) and Marc Etienne McLaughlin (10th) all fell short of the final table.
