As EPT Prague begins its penultimate day, Ireland’s Marc Macdonnell begins with the chip lead.
If you’re not familiar with the man in control, here’s the quick lowdown on him.
Macdonnell is a fulltime poker pro who hails from the south side of Dublin, Ireland. He begins Day 5 of EPT Prague with 3.6 million chips, equal to 120 big blinds.
If you’re looking for Macdonnell on PokerStars, you’ll find him under the screen name 14Alonso14 where he has hundreds of thousands of dollars in cashes, including a $196,000 win in a 2014 Sunday Million.
Macdonnell doesn’t confine himself to the online grind. Since beginning his live poker career in 2008, the Irishman has won more than half a million in live winnings. The biggest of those came last summer at the WSOP when Macdonnell nearly won a gold bracelet. His runner-up finish in a $1,000 Hyper Turbo at the WSOP earned him $155,876.
Macdonnell goes as Sluglife on some other sites and uses that name moniker on Twitter where he is known as @sluglife87.
