There are numerous ways in which we are treated on the European Poker Tour. There are the wonderful locations, the outstanding food, drink and concierge services, and you should hear it when the press room comedians get their games going: it is hilarious, I can tell you. Pure comedy gold.
But better even than the priceless mispronunciations of foreign-sounding names and anecdotes of devilry after one too many shandies, is the actual poker we get to watch up close. Some of these guys can really play.
Moreover, we are also fortunate in that we are surrounded by some of the top professionals in numerous fields, all of whose wonderful work brings you as close as they can to the action. We sometimes don’t get to showcase it as much as we would like, which explains this post. This is an excuse to show off what the EPT photographer Neil Stoddart can do. This is a pictorial chip count, of some of the players in the day two field.
