It’s day five of the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final, and it is an insanely good line up for the final 16. Here is how they arrange themselves this morning, and there’s really not much more I can add to this; it’s arguably the strongest final two tables we have ever seen at an EPT main event.

Table 1
1 1 Andrew Lichtenberger USA 699,000
1 2 Daniel Negreanu Canada 1,257,000
1 3 Victor Ramdin USA 1,090,000
1 4 Jake Cody UK 266,000
1 5 Freddy Deeb USA 1,207,000
1 6 Andrew Pantling Canada 2,248,000
1 7 Noah Schwartz USA 1,087,000
1 8 Clyde Tjauw Foe Netherlands 647,000

2 2 Grant Levy Australia 712,000
2 3 John Juanda Indonesia 1,395,000
2 4 Goran Mandic Croatia 995,000
2 5 Mateusz Moolhuizen Netherlands 596,000

Jason Mercier: And another one

I will say this, however: we could be here some time. In Berlin last week, we came into day five with only 16 players too and expected to arrange our final table in time for dinner. But we were still there hours and hours later, with the ninth placed player simply refusing to yield. It was deep into the early hours before that final eight was agreed.

The type of player we have here makes that kind of attrition slightly less likely. All of the 16 we have here will be going for the win. But who knows.

One thing is absolutely certain. It’s going to be a belter. Here’s Sarah Grant and Rick Dacey with more:

A quick note on how to follow our coverage of the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final. Head to the main EPT Monaco page, where you will find hand-by-hand coverage from the tables in the panel at the top of the page, which also includes current chip counts and payouts as they happen.

Our feature coverage can be found below the panel, including the latest from the side events. And don’t forget EPT Live. How could you? It’s live now on PokerStars.tv.

Also we have the €25,000 High Roller going on, which we’ll dip into throughout the day. Hand-by-hand coverage of that is on the High Roller page.
