If you have been listening to the English coverage on EPTLive, you have no doubt heard James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton talking about their working conditions today.
Let’s get one thing straight: the people known as “talent” in this industry (or any other) don’t have things too bad. But today the commentators are stuck in room most resembling a broom cupboard and, worse, it is right beside a toilet.
Earlier today, you may have heard someone taking a sneaky leak in that bathroom – the sounds were very clear over the microphones, like Frank Drebin that time in The Naked Gun. Tellingly there was no sound of hands being washed, but that’s mainly because the sink is in the room with the commentators.
If you happen to be listening in and hear Hartigan and Stapleton a little distracted, let’s hope it’s not because their “friend” is back, this time fresh from the eat-all-you-like buffet.
