7.05pm: Viliyan Petleshkov doubles through Dorde Jovanovic
Down to just 80,000 he moved all-in with pocket kings from the small blind after Dorde Jovanovic had opened from under-the-gun+1, the latter calling the extra with pocket sevens. The board ran out 8♥ 3♠3♥ 4♠J♣ as he doubled up.
6.55pm: First pot to Plamen
It folded to Plamen Todorov on the button and he raised to 36,000 and Senadin Cosic called from the big blind. The flop was 9♥ 3♦ 3♣ and c-bet of 36,000 from Todorov saw him take the pot.
6.50pm: And they’re off again
Photos taken and intros read the players are back in their seats and play has re-started. There’s 26 minutes left at this level.
6.35pm: Chip counts of the elite eight
Here are the chip counts of the remaining eight players, we’re still a little way off starting by the looks of things.

6.10pm: Tadeas Kozdon eliminated in ninth place (€3,700)
From under-the-gun+1 Senadin Cosic limped and it folded round to Tadeas Kozdon in the small blind, he completed and Plamen Todorov checked his option. The flop was 10♠8♣ 9♠and it checked to Cosic who moved all-in for 150,000 into a pot of just 60,000. Then Kozdon moved all-in for 175,000 total and Todorov tank folded.

The J♣ turn gave Kozdon two pair but Cosic a straight and the 10♥ river changed nothing.
So next hand down to just 23,000, Kozdon must’ve been delighted to see pocket queens, but Franco Recchia had A♦ Kâ™ and spiked a king to eliminate the Czech. Players are now on a 20 minute break.
6pm: Three way all-in, no elimination
It looked for all the world like the final table would be set as three players went all-in pre-flop. First to push his stack across the line was Simon Andrei who pushed all-in for 150,000 with pocket kings from under-the-gun+1, to his immediate left Senadin Cosic – holding Aâ™ J♦ – announced he was all-in (for around 380,000) and lastly Viliyan Petleshkov moved all-in with pocket queens for 201,000.
The board of 2♣ 8â™ 9♥ 4♥ 10♦ saw Andrei triple up to over 450,000, Cosic lose both pots to slip to around 160,000 and Petleshkov take the 102,000 side pot. He’s now the shortest stack.
5.45pm: Last (not final) table re-draw
The final nine players have combined at one table, with one more elimination the final table of eight will be set, here’s how the final nine shape up after the re-draw:

5.35pm:Daniel Todorov eliminated in 10th place (€2,600)
He was down to just 85,000 and got it in with J♣ 10â™ but ran into Aleksandar Kaludercic’s A♥ K♦ and didn’t hit. With his elimination in 10th place the remaining nine players will combine at one table, they’ll be a brief break whilst this happens.

5.30pm: Mauro Palazzo eliminated in 11th place (€2,600)
From under-the-gun Senadin Cosic made it 30,000 to play and then from the button Mauro Palazzo moved all-in for 110,000, back on Cosic he made the call. On their backs:

Cosic: A♥ J♥
The flop of 5♥ Aâ™ 10♣ gave them both backdoor flush draws, the 8♥ kept Cosic’s alive and the K♥ completed his flush and eliminated the Italian in 11th place. News of another exit coming right up.

4.55pm:Palazzo calls clock on himself
Mauro Palazzo opened to 42,000 and from the big blind Senadin Cosic moved all-in, covering Palazzo. The Italian now tanked, this was not uncommon he has been raised all-in a few times today and always taking many minutes before eventually folding. This time he called the clock on himself before, yep you guessed it, folding.
4.40pm:Libor Behro eliminated in 12th place (€2,600)
Plamen Todorov has claimed another scalp, holding K♥ Q♣ he took Libor Behro’s last 80,000. The chips went in pre-flop with the latter’s K♦ 8♣ flopping an open-ended straight draw on the 6♣ 7♦ 9♥ flop but bricking out on the Jâ™ 2♦ turn and river.

4.15pm: Break Time
Players are now on a 10 minute break.
4pm: Jure Vodeb eliminated in 13th place (€2,200)
Two hands in a row did for him. In the first Dorde Jovanovic raised from the small blind with A♠6♠and Vodeb shoved from the big blind with Q♣ 5♠, Jovanovic called all-in for 140,000 and was at risk. The board of 4♠Q♦ A♣ 6♥ 5♥ doubled the Serbian up.
So short stacked Vodeb moved all-in with J♥ 2♥ from the small blind the very next hand and was looked up by Plamen Todorov who had A♦ 4♦ and that hand held on the A♥ 5♥ 2♦ 3♣ 10♣ board.
3.50pm: Palazzo at the double
Mauro Palazzo has been in the thick of the action recently. First holding A♥ 10♥ he doubled up a shortstacked Daniel Todorov who had pocket sevens in a pot worth 130,000.
Then he doubled up holding Q♣ J♣ against Aleksandar Kaludercic’s K♦ 10♥ , the board coming 5â™ 6♥ A♣ 3♥ Jâ™ , he now has around 140,000.
3.35pm: Antonio Dieguez Rodriguez wins big pot
The Spaniard opened to 23,000 from under-the-gun+1, next to act Viliyan Petleshkov three-bet to 56,000. This was the second time I’d seen him do this to Rodriguez in the last couple of orbits. Back on the Spaniard and he tanked for a while before making the call.
The flop of J♠J♥ 5♦ was checked to Petleshkov who c-bet 67,000. Back on Rodriguez he turned his baseball cap the other way round, stared off into the distance and then moved all-in for 179,500 total. After getting a count Petleshkov tanked for a couple of minutes before folding. As he collected the pot Rodriguez showed pocket sixes.
3.20pm: Alain Medesan eliminated in 14th place (€2,200)
Huge pot, new chipleader and the exit of the colourful Romanian. From early position Franco Recchia made it 33,000 to play and Alain Medesan then moved all-in for around 270,000 from the big blind, Recchia snap called.

Recchia: K♣ Kâ™
“No problem here comes the ace,” said Medesan. The flop though was 6â™ 10♣ 9♣ and brought no help. The A♣ certainly did though, but the J♣ river completed Recchia’s flush and sent Medesan to the rail, Recchia meanwhile now has 675,000 and is the chip leader.

3.10pm: Chip counts
I’ve updated the chip counts page, Viliyan Petleshkov (430,000) still leads the way but after two double ups in the first hour Franco Recchia (405,000) is hot on his heels. On the shortstack is Simon Andrei (75,000).
2.55pm: Franco Recchia doubles through Viliyan Petleshkov
Franco Recchia had 200,000 to start the hand and found pocket aces, Viliyan Petleshkov had pocket queens, two premiums and it’s all going in at this stage. The board of 3♣ 10â™ K♣ J♥ 4♥ saw Recchia double up, but not without a sweat.
2.40pm: Miha Staric eliminated in 15th place (€2,200)
I missed the pre-flop action but on a 8♦ J♦ 9♦ flop the action between Miha Staric, who had about 200,000, and Viliyan Petleshkov went bet (Staric), all-in and call. Staric showed A♦ Q♥ and Petleshkov J♥ 9♥ . The 9♣ turn gave Petleshkov a full-house, meaning that although Staric made his flush on the 2♦ river he was sent packing.
Antonio Dieguez Rodriguez has been moved tables to balance them.
2.35pm: Simeon Todorov eliminated in 16th place (€1,850)
There are just two Todorov’s left in the field now. Down to about 60,000 Aâ™ Q♣ was more than good enough for Simeon Todorov to go with and he was looked up by Dorde Jovanovic who had A♦ 7♥ . The board of 7♦ 7â™ 5♣ 4â™ 8♣ sending Todorov to the rail.
2.25pm: Two early double ups
First Jure Vodeb doubled up with pocket queens against chip leader Viliyan Petleshkov’s king-jack and then on the same table Franco Recchia doubled up with pocket sixes against Simeon Todorov’s A♥ 10♥ . Both of the all-in players had about 105,000 before doubling up.
