6.50pm: Break time
Players are now on a 20 minute break as level four has come to an end.

6.40pm: Pole position
Ok so he’s not chip leader but I couldn’t resist the pun. However, Polish player Grzegorz Cichocki is going well on around 29,725. I saw him raise to 425 from the button and get a solitary caller from Ulf Jeremies from the big blind. The flop was 8♥ 7♦ A♣ and after he was checked to a bet of 500 from Cichocki saw him win the pot.

The Pole has some pedigree having finished 7th in a €2,000 side event at EPT Prague in December, he also went deep in the main event at EPT Vilamoura where he finished 20th. — NW

Gregor Cichocki – a lot of points in scrabble

6.20pm: Say hello to Hasse
Pictured below is Julian Hasse, he’s a 21-year-old PokerStars qualifier from Berlin who’s been a professional poker player for about two years. During that time he’s final tabled events in Germany, Spain, Austria, England and Macau.

In fact he had quite the series in Macau in November 2010, final tabling three events in a week where he finished third, second and first respectively with the win worth over a million Hong Kong dollars ($137,000). He’ll be hoping to add Czech Republic to his list of countries he’s made final tables in and he’s off to a good start here, up to 23,500. — NW

6pm: Zografov zooming
Petar Zografov, who earlier made a very nice call to win a big pot from Martin Hruby just showed his poker prowess once more. With the board reading Q♥ 2♦ 6♣ holding pocket kings he’d bet around 3,000 and been called. On the 4♦ turn he set his opponent all-in for his last 8,300 and after a dwell his opponent called with the dominated Kâ™  Q♦ and didn’t spike a queen on the river. After that hand Zografov is up to around 31,000. — NW

LEVEL UP: BLINDS 100-200

5.45pm: Old hand
Pictured (centre, blue and white top) is Oldrich Siml, it’s fair to say his look makes him stand out from the crowd, but so do his results. He took down the PokerStars Prague open in September 2010, winning CZK 414,000 ($22,000). He’s upwardly mobile in this tournament too as he has a stack of 17,000. — NW

Siml – has previous in Prague

5.30pm: Team PokerStars Pro Martin Hruby eliminated
In a hand that played itself he got it all in pre-flop with pocket kings against Jan Petermann’s pocket queens. Unfortunately for Hruby his opponent flopped a set and Hruby couldn’t hit a king to stick it to the Mann, so he was eliminated, girl power!
After that hand Petermann is certainly one to watch and has around 39,000. — NW

Hruby – had his kings cracked by queens

5.15pm: Chip counts
Apologies for the lack of depth on the chip counts page. Fact is without a seat draw list short of someone being a well known name it’s hard to know who’s who. Fortunately we’re a friendly bunch on media row and bloggers from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and beyond are helping me out my pointing out some of the more successful players from their countries. I’ll be adding players to the list as and when I can. — NW

5pm: Score on the door
With the cash register for entrants to Day 1A slamming at the end of level two the official number of entrants today stands at 160. Of those who started 153 remain, making the average stack 15,686 or 156.86 big blinds if you prefer. Plenty of play then. –NW

4.50pm: Back from the break
Players are back in their seats after the fist of two elongated breaks that they’l go on today. Cards are back in the air. — NW
