The winter poker season is almost upon us with just one week to go until the first cards are dealt for the Eureka Prague €1,100 Main Event (5 December). That begins 11 days of poker action action in the Czech capital that will see the biggest and best names of the poker world descend on the winter wonderland. And satellites are still running…

It’s the third time that the Eureka poker tour has set up shop in Prague but the first time its Grand Final has led into an EPT (European Poker Tour) event, which combine to make a 30-event festival. That amount of action may bring along the likes of Team PokerStars Pros Liv Boeree and Toni Judet from the outset but with tournaments starting from €220 it really does make the festival accessible to all. Check the full schedule by clicking here. Yes, there are still plenty of larger events from €1,100 up to the €10,300 High Roller.

Walking along in a winter wonderland…

Leader board
The end of the season will also lock up a Player of the Series trophy and prize for one season-long grinder. It’s tight at the top with Michal Misterek narrowly leading Petar Zografov on the Eureka leader board.

It’s not too late to qualify
You might find it difficult to catch up with them but taking a shot at the Eureka Main Event for as little as 250FPP or €0.55 means anyone and everyone can get over for some knedlíky (dumplings), Klobása (smoked sausage) and pivo (beer). Find the satellites in the PokerStars lobby clicking on the tabs labelled ‘Events’ >> ‘More’ >> ‘Eureka’.

Hmmm, which to go for?
