Yesterday we reported about Full Tilt Poker’s Eureka moment and how on Saturday night they’d unveiled three Full Tilt Poker Tour Ambassadors for the Eureka Poker Tour.

One of those is Hana Soljan she’s Croatian and is in her final year at the University of Applied Sciences in Zagreb, studying Entrepreneurial Management. However, during her studies she has managed to find the time to take part in poker leagues and tournaments in a variety of countries with some success. She won the EPT Ladies event in Prague in 2010, a side event at the PCA in 2011, and an Omaha side event at the 2012 Eureka Poker Tour Zagreb. Hana, a former Big Brother Croatia contestant (this was in 2005 and she was evicted after 48 days), has been a great promoter of poker in Croatia over the years, indeed she’s credited with creating the first ladies tournament, and team, in Croatia.

She’s got some strong views on woman in poker too and expressed them at a press conference yesterday. “I don’t think there’s any advantage to being a woman at the table,” she stated. “I prefer to play against men though as I think I can read them better. But I don’t think men underestimate woman, they just don’t like to lose to a woman!” she added.

Whilst she’s tasted success in a Eureka side event, she’d no doubt love to make her first deep run in a Eureka main event happen here in her home country and in her first event as a Full Tilt Poker Ambassador. So far her story of preferring to play against men checks out as she’s up to 28,800 midway through level three.
