It’s been a wild Platinum Pass Adventure for Fintan & Spraggy. The dynamic streaming duo have been searching for a winner from their community for the last eight weeks. And now that they’ve reached the end of the promotion, they’ve bestowed their Platinum Pass on one deserving winner: Chris “chrism189” Martin.
A quick recap for those of you who didn’t follow along: Fintan & Spraggy had a Platinum Pass to give away. To find their winner they set up a series of daily challenges, ranging from freerolls to Photoshop contests to fitness challenges, beginning on May 28th. “The complete nonsense that we put people through in order to qualify has been a really enjoyable process,” said Spraggy. “Not just for us, but also for the community members who did everything from impressions of Ambassadors to running 200 meters backwards on an athletics track.”
All 73 of the qualifiers selected through this process played a freeroll this past weekend. This epic freeroll was live-streamed for the PokerStars community to watch at twitch.tv/pokerstars. More than 15,000 unique viewers, with as many as 2,000 concurrent viewers, watched as Chris Martin topped the field. Martin, a long-time member of Fintan & Spraggy’s Twitch community, is a good friend of Fintan’s and has also qualified for Rozvadov’s Sunday Million Live before this.

“I could never have imagined when I started streaming that one day we would be able to award a $30,000 prize to someone from our community,” said Spraggy afterward. “Some of the people in chat have been with us for nearly three years, day in and day out, and to be able to provide this experience for them has been truly special. There is a real sense of community in the poker section on Twitch and I’m delighted that one of our own will be representing us in the Bahamas in the biggest 25k of all time.”
