Day 2 of the LAPT Punta del Este will begin shortly. The event started yesterday with 307 runners. More than half of the field busted out on the first day. A total of 145 players advanced to Day 2 with local player, Martin Alberto Fuentes, leading the field with 118,000 in chips. Fuentes won his seat through a live satellite qualifier.

A handful of PokerStars Team Pros are still remaining in the field. Out of the five remaining, Leo Fernandez from Argentina, has the most chips with 59,600.

First place pays out $279,330. The top 48 players will be awarded prize money. The goal for Day 2 is to play down to 24 players or 8 full levels… whichever comes first.
