Panama’s a good place for poker.
Online and offline, cash or tournament, players in a 60-foot radius are indulging in all forms of poker.
Those riffling chips with one hand are playing SCOOPs with the other.
This includes our day 1 chip leader, Shakeeb Kazemipur, who’s SCOOPing it up while trying to scoop up pots at the table.
While day 1a didn’t go his way, day 1b went as well as he could expect.
Kazemipur bagged 294,800 to end the day, around 40 percent more than his closest contender.
That contender is Andres Herrera, who finished day 1a with 209,000. Rounding off the top three is Carlos Leiva, who will start the day with 178,800.
We’ll play past the bubble today and stop after we reach 10 levels of 32 players.
