6:45pm: 40-minute dinner break

On the final hand of the level Jordan Lo raised to 150,000 before Hirotoshi Nakabo sprung to life with a re-raise to 380,000. Lo folded and Nakabo celebrated like it was Christmas.

Nakabo will go to dinner in a good mood as the final seven players take a 40-minute dinner break. We’ll be back at 7:25pm local time (GMT+8).

6:40pm: Armand Prati eliminated in 8th place

Once again ace-jack has proved a troublesome hand for Armand Prati. He got his last chips in preflop with A♦ J♥ and found himself racing with Jordan Lo’s 9♦ 9♥ .

The board landed 2â™  3â™  8♦ K♦ 2♥ to leave Lo’s nines in front, and after a count down of chips, he just had Prati covered.

Prati is out in 8th place for HK$60,000 in prize money.

6:15pm: Brice gives back

Easy come, easy go for Brice Renaud. He’s back in his shell once again after losing a big pot to Wenlong Jin. We caught it on the river on a board of 2♦ Q♣ 8♥ 3â™  3♦ where Jin slid out a bet of 300,000. Renaud made the cal but mucked when Jin showed K♥ Q♥ .

Jin is now up to 2.6 million chips!

6:10pm: Finally!

Finally some action, and boy what a hand it was! The blinds had kicked up to the next level when Huy Khiem Nguyen opened to 110,000 from under the gun. Armand Prati popped it to 250,000 before the short-stacked Brice Renaud moved all in for 457,000.
Action then folded to Raiden Kan in the small blind who also declared himself all in!

Nguyen got out of the way and Prati asked for a count of Kan’s stack. It was 938,000. Prati has shown a tendency to make big calls, and he did it once again as he decided to gamble with A♦ J♣ . He was well behind as Kan showed Q♣ Qâ™  and Renaud was already celebrating as he opened A♣ A♥ .

The board ran out 4♥ 2♦ 2♠ 6♥ 9♦ and we learn that Nguyen had folded pocket nines! Renaud triples up to around 1.5 million, Kan wins the side pot to stay right about where he was with 960,000, with Prati the big loser in the hand as he slips to 1 million.

5:50pm: Shhhhh

We’ve decided that the slow play at the moment is directly related to the volume control of Hirotoshi Nakabo. When he was yelling and screaming there was plenty of action and excitement but so far, he’s been very quiet, silent in fact, at this final table.

Over the last half hour the only significant action was when Brice Renaud opened to 100,000 and Jordan Lo called, only to have Hung-sheng Lin move all in over the top. Both players folded and Lin extends his stack to 2.7 million.

5:20pm: Keeping things snug

The action has settled down a little down, with the players picking their spots and playing nice and snug. Hung-sheng Lin padded his stack a little in a three-bet pot against Jordan Lo when a flop bet of 250,000 on a flop of Q♥ 7♥ 4♣ was enough to take it down.

Wenlong Jin and Huy Khiem Nguyen saw a rare showdown, when Jin took a stab with a bet on the flop, checked the turn, and then bet just 100,000 on the river on a board of 3♥ 5♥ 2♥ Jâ™  6♦ . It was a blocking bet as Nguyen could really only call with his 7â™  7♦ , just bettering Jin’s 10â™  6♣ .

Both Jin and Nguyen are at about 1.5 million.

4:55pm: Lo not slow at winning races

The action is just not slowing down here, with yet another all in. Huy Khiem Nguyen started thing off with an early position raise to 70,000 which was called by Armand Prati. Action then folded to Jordan Lo who moved all in for around 700,000. Nguyen deliberated before making the call as Prati stepped aside.

Nguyen: 10♥ 10♦
Lo: A♣ K♦

The flop was a bare 8♣ 6♠ 7♦ but Lo clapped his hands in delight at the sight of the A♦ on the turn. Nguyen was left needing a nine or ten, but the river was dealt the 5♠ . Lo doubles to around 1.6 million with Nguyen slipping back to the same mark.

4:50pm: Wayne Yap eliminated in 9th place

Despite the clock being wound back, it didn’t take long for our first elimination of the final table. Wayne Yap and Wenlong Jin went to war on a flop of 10♦ K♥ 4♥ with Yap opening K♦ Jâ™  for top pair but he found himself outkicked by the Kâ™  Q♦ of Jin.

The turn was the 7♦ and river the 2♠ as Yap goes home with HK$50,000 for his 9th place finish.

4:45pm: Final table lineup

The clock has been wound back to Level 10 with the blinds at 15,000/30,000/3,000.

4:35pm: Juicy bubbles final table

Brice Renaud opened from under the gun to 125,000 before Sixiao Li moved all in for 280,000. Action was then with the ever-entertaining Hirotoshi Nakabo who hates to not be in the thick of the excitement. He soaked up the atmosphere before screaming “ALL IN!”

Armand Prati quietly called all of them in the big blind without anyone really noticing, as Renaud quickly ducked out of the way.

Prati: K♦ Q♣
Li: Q♦ 10♦
Nakabo: 7♠ 7♥

Li was calling for a ten, while Nakabo was screeching for a seven, while Prati was praying for a king for another double KO.

The flop was a dry 3♠ 9♠ 4♥ but incredibly Nakabo pleas paid off when the 7♦ found its way onto the turn. Nakabo was hysterical as he had both opponents drawing dead! The river was the 3♣ as Li bubbles the final table after a great run in 10th place as Nakabo triples up!

With that, our final table is now set. They will redraw for the final table and play will recommence shortly.
