MicroMillions Day 4: ‘UMVEDER’ and ‘inertnii’ Wednesday’s biggest winners
There was more MicroMillions 17 fun on Wednesday, with big fields and big winners. Check out the Day 4 highlights below.
It was another day of enormous turnouts and guarantees being crushed as MicroMillions 17 marches onwards toward the midpoint of the 101-event schedule.
Russians ‘UMVEDER’ and ‘inertnii’ claim Wednesday’s biggest prizes
Player “UMVEDER” of Russia earned the distinction of being the second-biggest winner among the Day 4 MicroMillions champions after taking down Event No. 41 ($5.50 NLHE).
The event drew 10,548 entries, creating a $51,861.60 prize pool that more than doubled the $25K guarantee. It took “UMVEDER” almost exactly 10 hours to collect all the chips and a big first prize of $4,894.25.
Not to be outdone, fellow Russian “intertii” then earned an even bigger first prize of $6,775.48 after winning the wild and woolly Event No. 42 ($1.10+R NLHE, 8-Max, Turbo, Splash).
That one featured the biggest field of Day 4 with 12,550 entries, again building a guarantee-busting prize pool of more than $53K, from which “intertii” earned the largest share of $6,775.48.
Winners from all around the globe
A victory by “Kor_Denis” in Event No. 38 ($3.30 8-Game) meant three Russians won titles yesterday altogether, continuing Russia’s strong performance through the first half of MicroMillions 17. Austria, New Zealand, Finland, and the Netherlands also produced Wednesday winners.
Unfortunately, a technical problem late in the day meant a few of Day 4’s events had to be curtailed sooner than scheduled. That also means a slightly shorter winners list to share today — see below.
